Previous Chapter:

Chay: I'm gonna get some water.

Kim: I'm going to go to the bathroom.

As Kim walks past me I drag my hand over his abdomen.

Kim: Porchay.

Kim moans my name more than he says it.

End of previous chapter:

Kim's POV:
I sit on the living room couch, while Kinn informs me what his men have found out on Chay's stalker.

Kinn: The reporter is verified to work for a journalism company. He was also telling the truth about the anonymous tip. However, he neglected to mention that with that tip came $10k to watch Porchay that day. The photos he had with him were sent along with everything else.

Kim: Have you traced down the source of the tip?

Kinn: We're still searching. Everything was sent in a package, no fingerprints, no DNA, and no trace of who delivered it.

Kim: In short, we have nothing!

Kinn: Essentially.

Kim: If the reporter wasn't the one who took the photos, then that means this person has been near him. Which means he might have been caught on camera. Look through each photo. Try to put together a time, date, and place. Then go through every available captured footage.

Kinn: How will we find out the time, date, and place?

Kim: Send me copies of each photo. I'll go over them with Ch-Porchay.

Kinn: You're behaving strangely.

I stayed silent, trying to figure out where I slipped up.

Kinn: I've never seen you act like you care. Not like this.

Kim: I do care, a lot.

The words came pouring out of me faster than I could stop it. I know what I just said is going to raise Kinn's suspicions.

Kinn: Why, exactly?

I've always found, in a situation where you can't lie. Get as close to the truth as possible, without admitting to the truth.

Kim: Porchay, takes me back to a time when I was unbroken. I will protect him, at all costs.

Kinn: I understand you. I also see Porchay as very innocent. He has a way about him that makes you love and care for him.

Innocent definitely isn't the word I would use to describe Chay.

Kinn: It's okay, I also see him as a brother.

Kim: Brother?

Kinn: I know, it's hard for you to admit that you've grown fond of him. I have to go now. I already promised Porsche I would take Porchay to see him before I dropped him off with his friends.

Kim: Plus, the five bodyguards?

I pointed a threatening finger at Kinn, to make sure he held up his word.

Kinn: Yes, five.

Porchay: Five still seems excessive.

Kim: Porchay, two on your sides, one in front, one in back, and one more for good measure.

Kinn let out a laugh that he tried to disguise as cough. I know it's due to the soft tone I used to speak to Chay.

Chay: If I argue against it, are you gonna follow me the entire time?
