Chapter 13: Heaven is With You

Kinn: You know I give my love rough.

Kim: This bastard. You had to make a joke about your sex life?

Kinn: The opportunity couldn't be passed.

Kim: I'm leaving. Where's Chay?

Kinn: Hmm. Nice try brother, but little Porchay is staying the night.

Kim: I'm heading to my room then.

Kinn: Ohh, come on we were bonding. You gave me a hug!

Kim's POV:
It's very late into the night and I'm still waiting for Chay. Several times I've had to stop myself from going to find him. I know he needs time alone with his brother, but it doesn't change how much I miss having him beside me. My phone buzzes and I check happily looking for a distraction.

Messages:

Chay: Where are you? Kinn said you went to bed hours ago.

Kim: In my room.

Chay: Come to mine. Your room is too empty, it doesn't feel like you.

Kim: On my way.

End of messages.

As soon as I enter the room Chay is taking off his pants.

Kim: Chay?

Chay: Hmm?

Kim: Are you trying to seduce me?

I know he's only changing to more comfortable clothes, yet I couldn't help but wish for my tease to be true.

Chay: Is everything okay?

My smile fades at the sudden change in mood.

Kim: Of course. Why?

Chay: I went to find you earlier, when you were still with Kinn. You and him were hugging and it seemed intense. I also haven't seen you and Kinn hug very often.

Kim: If you left Porsche at that time. Why are you just now coming to bed?

I'm not trying to avoid his question. I just wanted to find out where he has been all this time.

Chay: I didn't want to interrupt. I wanted to give you and Kinn the time you needed. I also wanted to take time to think about what could make you so upset to hug Kinn.

Kim: I wasn't really the one upset.

Chay: Oh? Is Kinn okay?

Kim: Yes, he was just reliving some bad memories.

Chay: Can you not sleep shirtless tonight? My brother will come knocking early in the morning. I don't feel like having panic hit me first thing.

I feel caught off guard by Chay's change of topic. I'm not sure what I expected his response to be, but this wasn't it.

Kim: You're not gonna ask more?

Chay: Huh? Why would I? You said it wasn't you that was upset. Besides, if Kinn wanted me to know more he would've told me.

Kim: What if I want you to know more?

Chay stops picking out clothes for me and faces me now. He silently waits for me to explain. When he's met with the same silence, he speaks.

Chay: If you want to talk about it with me, I'm listening.

He gives a reassuring smile and moves closer to me. He then tilts his head a little demonstrating that he was waiting for me to talk. I felt instant butterflies at his adorable gesture.
