Chapter 12

Matt's P.O.V

I feel a weight on my shoulder, I look over to see that Gus had fallen asleep.

"Oh shit." I whisper, trying not to wake him up. He really needs the rest. I carefully move his head to my lap, my shoulder cannot be comfortable at all.

I smile down at him, he looked so peaceful sleeping. I gently push a loose strand on hair out of his face before resuming watching the movie.

*RING*
*RING*

Oh fuck, that's Gus's phone. It is laying down on the bed beside him. I grab it and answer without looking. Trying my best not to wake him up, but he was still fast asleep. Damn, how did you wake up to me crying but not a super loud ring tone in your ear?

"Hey Gus!" I hear a chipper voice say through the phone. I eventually pinpoint the voice as Luz's.

"Shh! Be quieter Luz." I whisper into the phone.

"Matty? Where's Gus?"

"He's sleeping."

"Oh, by the way, you realize that this is a video call, right? I mean, you have a beautiful ear, but let's see your face, okay?" She laughs "But atleast he's sleeping."

I take the phone down from my ear before speaking again "Yeah I know."

"How close is he if you have to whisper into the mic to not wake him up?" Luz asked. I could see Amity walk up to the frame and wave.

"Oh uh," I said skeptically before flipping the camera, showing the sleeping boy on my lap.

"Oh my goodness!" Amity whisper screamed into the mic "You guys are too cute I can't."

*Luz took a screen shot of video call*

"Oh my fucking God Luz I saw that." I say before turning the camera around.

"Oops, my hand slipped." She replies, laughing.

"Whatever, how's your sleepover party thing?" I ask.

"Oh, well Edric and Hunter are officially dating now. Took them long enough honestly." Luz said, starting to count her fingers "Jerbo almost caught the entire kitchen on fire while making pancakes, Emira is out watching her Girlfriends football practice, Hunter found a stray dog in the neighborhood and cried when he couldn't keep it, Boscha passed out before she could get her hands on any alcohol, Skara fell down the stairs, and uhh I think that's it for now." She smiled at the phone.

"Dude, it's literally 5:30. How did all that even happen already?"

"How did Gus fall asleep already?" Luz replies. You can see Amity walk away from the phone and Edric run across the back of the frame.

"It's not like I made him fall asleep, he was just tired. And anyway, why did you call?"

"Oh I just wanted to, no biggie. But I'm gonna let you go now. Have fun!" Luz hung up immediately after finishing her sentence. I placed the phone down beside me before turning off the T.V. I sigh, looking back down at Gus, I decide that I was going to try and get some more sleep too. I lay my head back on the bed, and close my eyes.

Perry's P.O.V (around 1 am)

I unlock the door, sighing as I walk inside to see Matt's and Augustus's bags in the hallway on the floor. I take off my shoes before heading upstairs to check on the kids.

I walk up to Augustus's room, the door is wide open and the lights are only slightly dimmed. I walk in to see Matt laying down, sprawled out on the bed, with Augustus laying on his chest.

"Not my boyfriend my ass." I mumble too myself before turning off the lights and walking out of the room to get myself a coffee.

Matt's P.O.V

I hear birds chirping outside the window. I open my eyes, looking down without getting up. Gus is laying on my chest?! When did that happen..

To be more specific I am laying on the bed, his head on my chest with his arm around my torso. I have my arm laying on his back.

I decide it's best to just try to sleep until he wakes up. He It still looks like it's only 4am outside, and he really needs the rest. I close my eyes and attempt to fall back asleep.

Around a hour later, I still haven't fallen back asleep. I start running my fingers up and down Gus's back. I feel Him start moving, He digs his face deeper into my chest and mumbles something incoherent. I sigh, looking down at him. It was honestly really cute, but I don't think that he's awake yet. I continued running my fingers up and down his back until he woke up, around half an hour later.

"ugh..." Gus mumbled. He raised turned his head to face me. "Oh shit, goodmorning Matty." I don't think that the situation had fully processed in his head yet.

"Goodmorning princess," I reply, smiling down at him "Sleep well?"

"I- uh.. yeah." Gus replied sheepishly.

"That's good.."

"Whatever.."

"Ar-"

"I'm going back to bed." Gus said before digging his face back into my chest.

"I- okay then." I laughed. I continued stroking his back until he fell back asleep. I decided it would be smart to do the same, so I closed my eyes and went back to bed.
