It took me a while to update due to poor internet connection.

I USED TO have an older brother.

The two of us were inseparable despite our age gap.

Other than Grandma Chiyo, he was someone I cherished the most in the family.

He was my best friend.

My pillar of support.

My great confidant.

My mentor.

However, I got separated from him because our father threw him out of the house and disowned him when I was only nine years old.

"GET THE HELL OUT OF MY HOUSE! STARTING THIS DAY ONWARD YOU ARE NO LONGER MY SON!!!"

Dad's outburst echoed across the house as he yelled at my older brother, his voice dripping with anger and disappointment. I simply watched the two of them have a heated argument in the living room while clutching my bunny tightly, afraid of Dad's wrath.

My brother just stood there, frozen. His face was warred with a mixture of shock and hurt as he was stung by our father's cruel words. He was holding back his tears as he realized that his own parent was kicking him out and no longer welcome in the place he called home.

"Honey, what on earth are you talking about?! No matter what he did, Yuuto is still your son! You can't just disown him!" Mom intervened with the two and tried to make her husband see things through, but Dad's anger was already at the boiling point. He was stubborn enough to be persuaded by her words.

"Don't try to side with him, Asami! My words are the law in this household! The moment he chooses to associate with those individuals and disgraces us, he is no longer welcome in this family!" Dad spat out and pointed angrily at his son. "Pack your belongings and leave! I don't want to see your face in this house ever again, you unfilial son! You are nothing but a disappointment!"

My brother only took a deep breath while trying to keep himself calm. Without saying a word, he walked back to his bedroom and gathered his things. I followed him inside to talk to him. I could see the pain and sadness in his bluish-green eyes as I looked at him.

"Oniichan..."

My brother then forced a smile as he glanced down at me and patted my head. "Hey there, Lil' bunny."

"Where are you going, Oniichan?" I asked him innocently. "Are you really leaving?"

"M'yeah. Something like that."
