A week later, Jay and Lonnie were at the registry office, filling out the forms to get married. "Last names?" she questioned, humming. "I don't intend on changing mine, and I don't suppose you'll take mine."

"Actually," Jay shrugged, "why not? Jay Shang. Has a nice ring to it. Plus, it'll make it easier when giving Jack his last name. Whaddya say?"

Lonnie kissed him happily. "That sounds perfect," she grinned, finishing up filling out the form. "Lucky me, marrying such a progressive man."

Once the paperwork was filed and Belle and Fairy Godmother showed up, the group was taken into one of the rooms in the office, where an officiant was waiting for them. The two older women took their seats in front of the altar, and Jay and Lonnie walked up to the officiant. After going through a bit of the legal jargon, asking them if they were both here willingly and them saying "I do", he invited them to exchange their swords.

"Jay," Lonnie smiled, tears in her eyes, "I promise to care for you with love and friendship and to support you through all times. Let this sword be a sign of that promise."

"Lonnie, I accept this sword, as I accept your love," Jay grinned, taking the sword and sheathing it. "Lonnie, accept this sword as a sign of my promised vows and as a symbol of my love – uncomplicated and never ending."

"Jay, I accept this sword, as I accept your love," Lonnie replied, doing the same as Jay had done moments earlier.

"If you and your chosen witnesses could just step over to this table and sign the marriage certificate, please," the officiant smiled, and so the group did, before resuming their positions. "I now declare you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride."

Jay dipped Lonnie as gently as possible, planting a passionate kiss on her lips, which she reciprocated. Belle and Fairy Godmother cheered and clapped, hugging them once they were upright again.

"Are you two going to go on a honeymoon?" Belle asked.

"Maybe once we've finished school," Lonnie smiled. "It could be a babymoon, too!"

A month later, the group, none the wiser to Jane and Carlos's pregnancy and Jay and Lonnie's marriage, encountered an exciting, terrifying turn of events. Evie and Doug's wishes to meet their twins came too soon. When the group got the message that Evie had gone into labour, they anxiously awaited the news that the twins had been delivered safely and that mama and babies were all doing okay. Mal wouldn't take no for an answer when she offered to come to the hospital, even just to wait in the waiting room, so she paced back and forth while Ben shook his head and chuckled.

"You realise that pacing faster doesn't mean the twins will be here any sooner right?" he questioned, to which Mal replied with a huff. "Why don't we go get food from Tiana's? I'm sure Evie and Doug will let us know when the twins are here."

"That's if she makes it," she frowned. "She's at risk of complications with a twin pregnancy. She almost didn't get to have both of them, remember?"

"Mal, you need to relax," he told her. "Stressing yourself out will put our little Princess at risk. Evie will be fine."

Mal sighed and took a seat next to him, leaning into his open arms. Four hours after the initial text, the rest of the group began showing up in the waiting room. The last to arrive were Jane and Carlos, due to her fretting over what to wear over her bump. She'd finally settled on a long, boxy, light blue, square neck top and some light blue denim shorts that she managed to adhere to her bump by putting a hair tie through the button loop and looping it around the button.
