"You still are so beautiful." I can already feel my tears as I close my eyes. I heard the footsteps and my mind was screaming.
Fucking run, Maelyn! RUN!
Nothing happened. No movement from me like I was a statue.
"No words. Surprise." He said with a darkness in his voice. I opened my eyes to see his feet.
"Y-you were i-in another s-state."
"Yes. You still care to remember me from years ago." I looked at him with a tear falling. He had a smile on his face like he didn't do horrible shit to me.
"Why are you here?" I asked trying to stop the trembling feeling. He definitely looked a bit different from the last time I saw him. He had facial hair but clean cut. His hair was styled with gel, and he was in a button up and dress pants.
"I can't come back to my home city."
"I wasn't expecting you to come back to this shit hole." I spoke once I stopped the trembling.
Of course, I forget my phone and bag. I'm defenseless and I can't call for help. I can scream but I know that won't end well.
I was stuck and couldn't get out, so I had to play the smart way and not run my mouth.
"Well, this shit hole had a lot of memories, don't you think?" He walked closer and I scoffed while looking away.
"Why are you really here, Aaron?" I asked while standing straight and taking a step away from him.
"Maybe I came to see you."
See me. You abused me. You came to fucking see me!
I looked at him like he was crazy.
"You came to see me after what you put me through?" I asked. He sighed and shook his head.
"Mae, it was in the past. Don't bring back sophomore year."
"Maelyn. You call me Maelyn. Mae is for my friends and you are not my friend. You are an ex and I will be leaving back inside to my friends." I went to walk away but he grabbed my arms and pinned me to the wall. I gasped and the trembling came back. He smirked.
"Maelyn. You should remember the last time you talked back to me. It didn't end well for you."
I sure did. All those horrible things came flooding back as his grip tightened and the tears fell down.
"Babe, can you clean up at least?" I spoke in a calm tone, seeing the mess in his room. He lived with his parents, yet his room was a complete mess. I started to pick up the pieces of the floor. It was just me and Aaron because his parents were at work.
"Why should I clean up? It's not like anyone was coming over." He was on his phone scrolling and laughing.
"Because people don't like dirty people. Keeping your room clean would be a nice thing to have done so you're not tripping on anything." He sighed and got up. I smiled thinking he was actually going to clean up his mess of a room but he didn't.
"You like dirty people." He smirked and held me close. I gave him a look.
"Dirty sexual wise is different from dirty this." I pointed to the clothes on the floor. Trash scattered on his desk, couch, nightstand, and floor. His room looked like a dumpster. It was disgusting.
"Don't worry about it. Let's go lay down." I pushed his chest lightly.
"No, Arron. We need to clean up. This is gross and unhygienic. You need to clean yourself up." He rolled his eyes, and I knew he was getting annoyed.
