Maelyn's POV

I looked at Greyson and Bennett. I don't know why I looked at them when I said those lines but I knew they were looking my way. I didn't know they got tickets to this potluck but now that I know they are here, something will probably happen. Everywhere they are lurking, trouble comes so I gave them a look. Maybe I wanted to get something out of them. Even when Flynn was helping me, all I thought about was Bennett being my savior from ending up in the hospital with serious injuries. The way he held me close but soft and gentle compared to Greyson who held me like I was going to be taken from him. I never got to really look at Bennett and now my heart was beating for 3 men but 2 more than one. It was dangerous and I hated it. I didn't want to be in danger. I wanted to be safe and safe was Flynn. I felt comfortable in his arms and his presence.

"Take your man." Cat hugged me and we laughed at her. Everyone left to mingle and take pictures while music played. I didn't want to get up from the table because of my body being sore from today.

"You coming with?" Flynn asked and I looked up at him.

"My body is sore so I'm going to chill here for a bit." I smiled wide and he nodded before kissing my forehead.

"Okay, babes." He said before leaving. He said babes and kissed my head to taunt Bennett since they met. When I looked back at Greyson and Bennett, they had a dangerous look in their eyes. Greyson was ready to get up and go after Flynn, but I shook my head. Bennett had a blank expression on his face compared to the slightly worried look from this morning. I knew Greyson was going to be mad but Bennett. The way he yelled at Cat and hurt her along with yelling at me, didn't make sense. He saved me even after telling me to stay away from them yet they are following me everywhere.

What is wrong with you two?

I drank the sparkling cider before getting up and needing fresh air. I walked away through the crowd and left out of the gym to a classroom. I took deep breaths to calm my nerves.

"Ignore them, Maelyn. They aren't worth it."

"Maelyn?" I jumped, not expecting a voice. I turned to see Mateo and I held my chest.

"Jesus, Mateo. What the hell?"

"Are you okay?" He asked.

"Yeah, I just needed to be away from the crowd."

"The potluck turned out great." He got closer to me.

"Yet you doubted my abilities as junior class president." I crossed my arm.

"I apologize. Maybe I did that to give you a push." He spoke and I turned to sit on a chair, and I felt pain on my head. I hissed and held my head.

"What was that for Mateo?" He picked me up and put me on the table and pushed me back. I started moving around and tried to push him off, but I couldn't. I felt my heart skyrocket and I started to tear up. "Mateo, what are you doing?!" I struggled against him.

"What's wrong? You have the guys around you, why not another one?" I used my strength against him and nothing worked.

"I'm not some fucking slut, Mateo."

"You act like one and look like one so I'm a treat you like one now stay still." He growled and slammed my wrists down and kissing up my neck. I thrashed against his hold, and he bit my jaw hard causing me to hiss in pain.

"SOMEONE HELP ME!!" He put his hand on my mouth and my tears fell while he lifted up my dress.

No no no no. Someone please.

I kept moving and I couldn't breath. I let sobs out and I felt my underwear go down and hear him rustling with his pants before I felt his weight off of me. I choke out a sob and then heard a grunt.
