15- New friend?

I woke up in the morning. Last night I cried a lot in P'Mile's embrace but that calmed me.

I don't know when I fell asleep. Maybe he left covering me with the blanket after I fell asleep.

I went downstairs. Everyone is having breakfast.

"Oh.. Nong Ta.. I was just about to wake you up. Today is your first day at the uni. Have breakfast and get ready."

"Ok.. P'Mile."

After breakfast Fen and I went to the uni.

New class, New people. I'm excited.

Fen already got a few friends so he introduced me to them. Among them is his bestie, Luke.

"Can we be friends, Ta?"

"Of course. My pleasure."

He's a nice guy I think. I mean he seems though.

He helped me with the previous class notes and during class time as well.

As we became friends Fen invited him over for dinner after a few days.

So today I'm helping P'Mile with the cooking.

"Here's all the groceries. What can I do next?"

"Wash these veggies, please.."

"Ok."

"Nong Ta... How's your study going here?"

"It's going well, P'. My classmates are nice and I made new friends. Among them Luke is the very first friend."

"That's very good. So you're getting used to the new circumstances very well."

"Yep... He's very helpful y'know.. great to have friends like this."

"When is your friend gonna come?"

"I texted him. He's on his way."

"Oh I see.."

We prepared the food. Luke came in some moments. We had dinner together.

After that day Luke started coming more often.  We study together. Even we hangout sometime.

Now I'm just focusing on my uni life. I won't deny my heart aches for only one person but I'm still not ready enough to approach again.

Though P'Mile and I have conversations every night before going to bed about my whole day. Sometimes I help him cook and go shopping.

These things are enough to make me happy.

I just finished my homework then a knock on the door.

"Come in P'Mile.. you don't have to knock every time."

"Hey brother! But sorry it's me not your old dude."

"Ok Mr. Fancy.. come in."

"Humm.. things are getting thick but I don't know huh?"

"What do you mean?"

"Come on.. y'know.. you got a new pair of eyes on you."

"Hugh.. and y'know I don't understand your high IQ words. stop starching and back to the point."

"Dude!.. I assume... Luke is falling for you."

"And what made you think that?!"

"Look.. you guys spend most of the time together. Now he doesn't even hangout with me. As for you guys chatting.. it's way too polite y'know.. I think he's looking forward to hearing from you."

"That's totally nonsense! Did he tell you that he likes me?"

"Eh.. No.."

"Then why are you making things on your own?"

"Dude... I have known him for the last 4 years. And him behaving like this is something he can show to his special one. I know you'll never take a chance with him as you got an old dude since your childhood. All I want to say is that.. don't give him hope."

"Come on Fen! What do you mean by I'm giving hope to him? We only discuss the study stuff. That's all. It's been a few weeks since we've been friends. I know only a little about him. Though he's very nice to me but I never showed extra interest. Is my normal behavior that much snug?"

"Well... You're charming, always smiles with a soft tongue to everyone except from me.. that's enough for someone to fall for you. I must say you weren't that Softy until you fell for your old dude. After coming from abroad your behavior even softened more."

"You think so?"

"Humm.. well Luke's behavior is too obvious. I'm not telling you to stop seeing him as a friend because he'll be hurt. I just want you to handle it carefully. After all we all are friends. I don't want something difficult."

"Oh God! You always give me headaches. Fine.. I'll talk with him soon."

"That's great. BTW.. how's going between you and your.. P'Mile khaaab?"

"None of your business."

"How rude!"

"Nong Ta! Here's your Choco vanilla milkshake! Oh Fen is here too. So brothers are having chats." Suddenly P'Mile entered.

"Yes uncle.. but we're done. Enjoy your milkshake! Baby Ta.. "

"You fuckin' idiot! Get out! I'm gonna kick your ass off!"

I threw a pillow on him but he dodged. Fen left immediately.

"Ahem ... Don't use bad words!"

"Oh P'Mile!.. fine. But don't give me a milkshake..."

"But you said you like it."

"Yes I do... But not in front of him. That idiot always mocks me. Ok I know I'm 19 but still like milkshakes and lots of chocolates!"

"Hehe .."

"You're laughing too?"

"No.. I didn't laugh because of this. You're grown up doesn't mean you can't like milkshakes or chocolates. And I don't want you to give up liking these things. Rarely people can enjoy their adulthood with childish things. Sometimes being like a child is good."

"Then why you laughed?"

"You still look cute when you pout like this. I just can't help laughing."

"P'Mile!... Now you're mocking me too!"

"Oh no.. I'm not. You really look cute! Hehe.."

"I'm not cute but handsome. You should correct your words."

"Ok fine. I will. Now drink it, Grownup man."

He ruffles my hair.

I smiled. I like the way he's with me. The point is he's close to me. That's all I want.

A/N: sorry for late update. You author is currently busy watching movies so didn't get time to write stories 😅🙂

I finished watching 4 parts of "Pirates of the Caribbean" now 5 is running. Though I watched these several times still rewatching 😩🥲
