21- Jealousy

Ta's POV _

I'm sitting on the beach enjoying the sunset view going down the horizon. The cold breeze and low light made me smile.

"Hey!!"

Luke pressed the cold coconut drink on my cheeks.

"Tired.. Hydrate yourself... May I sit?"

"Since when you started asking for permission from your friend?"

"Just right now.."

"Silly..."

" Your cousin and friend are having boyfriend moments. Obviously they can't accompany you..I thought my company will make you smile."

"You always make me smile... Are you blushing with my words?"

"A little.."

We laughed.

Mile refused to stay with Megan in one room. So he booked another room. Then he comes to know that Luke and Ta are staying together. He couldn't find that face around. As he went to search at the beach he found two figures laughing.

He got a bit angry.

"He refused to talk with me and is now spending time with another man!"

Mile can't stand this view as he rages to his room.

Barcode and Fen are being detective as they're observing all the moments with binoculars.

At dinner time _

Luke sits next to Ta. They served each other foods. Ta enjoyed his meal without bothering to spare a glance at the old man sitting opposite him.

"Ta... Let's talk a walk.. I'll show you the bonfire the locals made here."

"I'm in. Fen, Code you guys aren't coming?"

"We'll have our moments. You enjoy."

Mile heard their conversation and even saw them go out holding hands. He decided to stay in his room.

But he couldn't. He can't stop thinking about the fact that he's jealous.

He followed these two friends from a distance while Fen and Barcode followed him from a distance.

Ta enjoyed bonfire party with Luke.

I want to forget every sorrows. I want to be happy. I'm happy.

This bonfire is amazing! I had a glass of local booze. Bitter but then it tastes sweet. I'm almost 20. I can drink a little, right?

We danced and sing together with the locales. The flowers wreaths smell with the burning wood and bitter booze with loud traditional music.. all are amazing!!

After dancing almost 1 hour I'm tired. I think I'm a bit tipsy as well.

"Ta, you ok?"

"Yeah.. that feels.. awesome!! After a long time I pushed aside all the dark clouds of my heart and finally learnt to enjoy!"

"You really enjoyed?!"

"Yeah!.. I won't think about someone who doesn't care about me! I'm feeling happy!!"

I lay down on sand. Luke beside me.

"Don't push yourself too hard."

"I'm really happy Luke."

"These words are good to heal yourself. Yet you can't deny the fact."

"Drop it! I don't wanna hear anything anymore."

"Ok my darling.. want another booze?"

"Hell ya!"

"Cheers to our broken heart! Cheers to our happiness!!"

We gulped down the drinks.

Mile heard the conversation. Ta already fell asleep over Luke. Mile wanted to grab the younger but didn't have the courage. He kept burning in anger of jealousy.

He went back to the hotel.

"Damn! Why isn't my uncle making any moves?"

"He's a hardcore. No worries.. You know what's tomorrow? We have to prepare a lot.. come on let's go.. help them first."

They managed to carry Ta back to his room.

Luke stayed on the couch because he doesn't want to make the other uncomfortable.

I woke up in bed and Luke was still sleeping at couch. I covered him with the blanket.

Last night was fun. I don't know after how many years I enjoyed myself like that.

Still..

I never gave up hope but now my heart wants to stop fighting. I'm tired.

No matter how much I love someone if that person push me away it's impossible to hang with hope.

Yet I can't open my heart for anyone else not I can get him.

I think I better focus on my present and future. I must build my carrier. If someone wants to go then it's better to let go.

I lost in my thoughts.

"Ta..."

"Huh?! You woke up!"

"I'm seeing you for last few minutes. You look kinda cute when you put that serious expression."

"Are you mocking me Luke?"

"No.. Come on freshen up.. we're going out."

"But where are we goin'?"

Four of us kinda storm out of the hotel after taking breakfast. Today we hung out around the local market.

I brought a few things like wristlet, hats, t-shirts and a few toys for Nan. Sad that he couldn't come with us.

We ate lunch at a Tavern. Super spicy food. We had to eat coconut ice cream.

We visit the temple around here.

The whole day passed with a blink of an eye.

We're entering the hotel at the evening.

I bumped into P'Mile.

As our eyes met I can tell he's trying to tell something. But no. I'm not gonna be weak.

"Nong Ta... I.."

I completely ignored and went with Luke.

Mile is on the verge of his anger. He didn't want to come but he agreed because he couldn't believe Luke. He can't take the fact that Ta is more comfortable with Luke. He's already done with being Megan. She doesn't even let Nan stay with them.

Again she called him which annoyed Mile even more.

Fen and Barcode also excused themselves.

"Fenny.. we don't leave much time. And that bitch is gonna make up something.. we need to settle her first." Barcode said.

"I know.. The Iron is hot, it's time to strike for the final time baby. Let's prepare for the party!" Fen said in excitement.
