The New Kid

Detention

Sophie POV:

"Sophie wake up!" A voice shouted in my ear.

I leaped upright and banged my head on the top bunk.

"Ow." I groaned as I rubbed my forehead.

My friends snickered as I glared at Dex.

So my name is Sophie Foster. I am the Black Swans number one agent (well for training).  I have never ever gone on a mission before, our leader Agent Forkle adopted me and I have trained here with my cousin Dex who was adopted with me.

He adopted me because he saw me as a warrior or something like that. He wanted me to take down the Neverseen's number one agent named Agent Legacy.

My friends and I are the number one training group. Since the other groups fail every mission, we made it our goal to be the best and pass them up. But that doesn't mean we don't have fun.

We are the top pranksters in the entire world! We pull pranks on everyone and never get caught. In our group we have Dex (the tech expert and my cus), and Tam and Linh (the twins).

"Ughhh we have school." Dex groaned.

We all groaned.

We were all really smart since we have learned everything from here. None of us wanted to go to school, but we had to go for a up coming mission.

"Whatever, let's go." Tam said as we all changed.

We were only allowed to wear dull colors, for hiding if we we needed to, I wore black leggings with a grey hoodie. Dex wore black sweats and a grey tee shirt. Tam wore black jeans with a black sweater and almost covered his silver bangs. And Linh wore a black denim jacket with leggings and a grey shirt.

"Thanks Granite." We said as we got out the car.

"Of course guys," he said with a smile. "Behave, and stay alert. There could be Neverseen members here."

We all nodded and walked inside of the school.

The bells rang so we were on time, even though there were no students in the hallways.

"I guess we are early." Linh said.

I nodded.

"Guys, we have to stay alart," I said, with my hand inching towards the dagger in my pocket. "There could be Neverseen members like how Granite said."

"Relax Soph." Dex said in a nonchalant tone. "Don't be such a worrier."

I blushed and that made my friends laugh.

Then we made it to class.

"Ready?" I asked.

Everyone nodded.

We walked into the classroom, instantly making everyone stare at us. I gave my friends a look, and tugged out a eyelash.

"Hi," Dex said, having the enthusiasm I wish I had. I instantly hid behind my hair.

"Hello," the teacher said. "Detention for all of you."

"What!" I blurted, instantly blushing. "How? Why?"

"Because you are late." She said simply.

"Yea because we are new students."

The teacher frowned.

"Need proof?" I asked in an annoyed tone.

She nodded.

Linh walked up to her and handed her the paper with our schedules and the date of when we got here.

"Enough proof?" Linh asked in a sweet tone, making Dex, Tam, and I stifle a laugh.

The teacher looked up and sighed.

"You three are fine." She said, pointing to Linh, Dex, and Tam. "This one," she pointed to me. "Gets lunch detention for her attitude."

My friends opened their mouths to respond, but I cut them off.

"Yes ma'am."

She smiled a pleased smile. "Sit at the table over there."

She pointed to the corner table.

My friends and I walked to the table, and tried not to laugh at what just happened.

"Alright class," the teacher said. "Today everyone is going to get to know their seat partners."

Right then a paper airplane flew across the room and hit her in the face. My friends and I laughed with the class as she turned beet red.

"KEEFE!" She shouted.

I turned to the boy she was talking to, and boy was he cute.

He was strong, with big muscles. His face was perfect, and he has the most unique pair of ice blue eyes. His blond hair was messy but looked like perfection.

I immediately snapped out of my daze.

"That's detention for you too!" She shouted.

The boy turned to me and winked.

I blushed and turned around.

"I think Sophie has a little crush." Linh whispered to our group.

They all smirked at me and my face turned tomato red.

"Maybe." I whispered.

Linh squealed, making everyone in the class look at her. I hid behind my hair and looked at the floor.

I hated attention. I knew me and my friends were the best at a lot of stuff, but I don't like to get praised or attention from it. It's why my friends love to embarrass me in public.

"Guys stop." I whisper shouted, making them laugh.

"Fine," Dex said with a smile. "But he keeps staring at you too."

I turned around and he was looking at me. Once we made eye contact he blushed and turned away.

"Bye guys," I said as I walked into the detention classroom.

"Bye Soph." They said as I walked inside.

I checked in on the clipboard in the front of the class. I then took a seat in the left corner of the class, by the window.

I gazed outside, and watched some birds fly until the chair infront of me moved. Then sure enough the boy from English sat down in it.

He turned around and faced me with his beautiful eyes shimmering in the sunlight.

"Hi," he said with a smile.

"Hi." I replied with a smile back.

"I'm Keefe," he said. "Keefe... Blake."

"I'm Sophie... Sophie Grace."

"Well it's nice to meet you Sophie." He said. "The way you spoke to that teacher was awesome, by the way."

I blushed. "Thanks. I can't believe you threw a paper airplane across the classroom and hit her in the face. Just to come here."

He smiled. "Well someone has to keep you company here. And besides, I wanna get to know the new girl."

I blushed again. "Well what do you wanna know?"

"Just some secrets." He said with a smirk. "And everything else."

I rolled my eyes. "Well, I just moved here with my friends. I just turned 14 and hate school."

"That's it?"

I reflected his smirk right at him. "You'll find out the rest later on."

"Looking forward to it." He said with a smirk. "I have lived here my whole life. Don't worry, I also hate school so I'm sure we will end up here together a lot more. And I'm really fascinated with the new girl."

"And why is that?"

"Because she is unlike anyone I have ever seen before."
