I said my goodbyes and ran out with Bangchan. As we walked to his car, I realized that the Hyundai Palisade I saw every day in school was his. Quite fancy, I thought, trying to distract myself from the turmoil inside. The sleek black exterior and the polished finish of the car seemed to match Bangchan's calm and composed demeanor perfectly.

We reached school, and the morning air was crisp, carrying the faint scent of rain from the night before. As we walked through the hallway to our class, Bangchan tried to cheer me up. He listened patiently as I recounted the events of last night, nodding empathetically. Just as I was starting to feel a bit better, Lee Know appeared in front of me. His presence sent a jolt through my system, and before I could react, he started pulling me away.

I was so shocked that I didn't know how to respond. My body felt like it was moving in slow motion, but my mind was racing. Bangchan, knowing what had happened, quickly intervened, stepping in front of me and dragging me away from Lee Know's grip. The hallway seemed to narrow, and all I could focus on was the tension between them.

It was only then that I fully realized what was happening. My best friend, my best friend who broke my heart last night was dragging me. Lee Know's eyes were filled with a mix of desperation and regret. He gave Bangchan a death glare before turning to me.

"Hey, look, I am so sorry for yesterday. I didn't see you, plus you didn't inform me that you were coming over. I didn't hear you—"

"Are you and Han together?" I cut him off, my voice serious despite the ache in my heart. My words hung in the air, heavy with the weight of betrayal.

"Yes," he said, looking down. He was probably about to explain, but I couldn't bear to hear more. The confirmation felt like a punch to the gut.

"Okay," I said, turning to leave. But he grabbed my hand, desperation in his voice. His touch felt wrong now, a stark reminder of the trust that had been shattered.

"I am sorry. Look, I didn't mean to hide it from you. I knew you had a crush on me for a long time, and I thought it would be insensitive to tell you. I didn't mean to hurt you. Please, don't ignore me."
