I guess life has a funny way of bringing people together...
One day, while I was sorting through books in the deserted locker room, Hwang Hyunjin, the school's well-known handsome playboy and notorious bully, walked in behind me with his usual smirk. His gaze fixated on me, making my skin crawl.
"Well, well, well, look who we have here," he sneered, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "Actually doing something productive for once?"
I rolled my eyes and tried to ignore his taunts, but my heart pounded in my chest, betraying my fear. My previous encounters with him had always left me shaken, and I knew what he was capable of. He was notorious for his physical bullying, often accompanied by his two cronies, terrorizing innocent students.
"Go away, Hyunjin. I'm not in the mood for your games," I said, trying to keep my voice steady as I continued sorting through the books.
But he didn't back off. Instead, he moved closer, his smirk widening. "Oh, come on, Youngeun. Don't be like that. We haven't had our little chat in a while."
His words sent a shiver down my spine. I tried to focus on my task, hoping he would get bored and leave, but I could feel his presence looming over me, growing more menacing by the second.
Suddenly, without warning, Hyunjin dashed towards me, grabbing my wrist with a force that made me cry out in pain. The books I had been holding scattered to the ground, echoing through the empty room. Before I could react, he shoved me against the lockers, pinning my hands above my head. I struggled, but he was too strong. His dark eyes bore into mine, filled with a cruel intent that made me feel lightheaded and dizzy.
"You have a lot of guts to ignore me," he hissed, his voice low and threatening. "I see you forgot our last interaction... Don't worry, I will make this one more enjoyable than painful for you."
Panic surged through me. I had never reported his bullying because I was terrified of what he might do in retaliation. Now, it seemed my worst fears were coming true. His eyes and words made it clear that he had no intention of letting me go without inflicting some kind of harm.
Hyunjin's grip tightened on my wrists, and he leaned in closer, his breath hot against my skin. "You think you can just ignore me and get away with it?" he snarled. "I'm going to teach you a lesson you'll never forget."
I struggled harder, trying to break free, but he was too strong. He started kissing and biting my neck, and I felt tears of fear and helplessness stream down my face. I screamed for help, hoping someone, anyone, would hear me. But the locker room was deserted, and my cries echoed futilely off the walls.
In my desperation, I tried to knee him in the groin, but he anticipated my move and roughly pushed me to the floor. I landed hard, pain shooting through my back and shoulders. Before I could get up, Hyunjin was on top of me, his hands fumbling with my clothes. I kicked and screamed, but he was relentless, his face twisted into a sadistic grin.
"Stop fighting, Youngeun," he growled, pinning me down with his weight. "No one is coming to save you."
Terror gripped me as I realized he was right. My struggles grew weaker, my energy draining away as despair set in. Just when I thought all hope was lost, I heard a voice shout from the doorway.
"Let go of her, Hyunjin!"
Seungmin was standing there, his face a mask of anger and determination. For a moment, Hyunjin looked taken aback, but then he sneered and grabbed my hair, yanking me up roughly.
"Fuck off, dude, and mind your own business," Hyunjin spat, his grip on me tightening.
Seungmin didn't back down. He stormed over and grabbed Hyunjin by the collar, pulling him away from me with surprising strength. "I am minding my business," Seungmin said, his voice low and dangerous. "She is my business."
Hyunjin's eyes widened in shock, but he quickly recovered and tried to push Seungmin away. However, Seungmin didn't stumble. Instead, he twisted Hyunjin's arm behind his back and shoved him hard, causing him to fall to the ground, clutching his stomach in pain.
Seungmin turned to me, his eyes filled with concern. "Are you okay?" he asked softly, reaching out to help me up.
I nodded, still in shock but overwhelmingly grateful. "Yes, thanks to you," I whispered, He quickly pulled me in a comforting hug tightly yet it felt very gentle. Tears of relief and gratitude flowed freely as Seungmin's comforting presence enveloped me.
"Don't you dare touch her again," Seungmin warned Hyunjin, his tone deadly serious. Hyunjin glared at us for a moment before backing off, disappearing into the corridors without another word.
The tension in the locker room began to dissipate, and Seungmin's expression softened as he looked at me. "Are you sure you're okay?" he asked again, his voice gentle and filled with worry.
I nodded, wiping away my tears. "I am now. Thank you, Seungmin. I don't know what I would have done if you hadn't come."
He hugged me again, his embrace warm and reassuring. "Shhh... It's ok. He is gone now... You are fine, nothing happened... I'll always be here for you, Youngeun. You're safe now."
