(Tuesday, 4:30PM, Sheffield)
Halsey lies against my chest, scrolling through Instagram. I sigh. "Are we gonna talk about what happened between you and Caleb last month?" I ask. Halsey shakes her head, continuing to look at her phone. I nod. My phone rings and I grab it, answering the call. "Hello, Dad." I say. Dad chuckles. "What? Do you hate me or something?" He says. I laugh. "No! I'm just with Halsey. What's up?" I say. Dad chats to me about Papa quickly before saying goodbye and hanging up. Halsey looks up at me, grinning.
"Our birthdays are coming up soon, babe!" She says. I nod. "I realise, sweetheart." I chuckle. Halsey pouts. "I've already got your present, baby." I say. She smiles. "Thank you, buttercup." She says, going back to her phone. I sigh, running my hand through her hair.
(6:30PM)
"Guys! Dinner's ready!" Lizzie calls from the bottom of the stairs. Halsey grins, getting up and grabbing my hand. She pulls me down the stairs, dragging me into the kitchen. We sit at the table, smiling at Lizzie and Joel. Lizzie rubs her large 4 month baby bump, huffing slightly. "How are you feeling, Lizzie?" I ask. She smiles lazily at me. "I'm good. These babies are kicking, though!" She giggles, rubbing her bump. I smile. "That's good! I'm happy that Halsey will have some siblings at last!" I say, pecking Halsey's cheek. Halsey blushes, making us all giggle. She rolls her eyes, kissing me gently.
Once dinner is done, we head back upstairs to her room. Halsey climbs on top of me, grinning. "What was that about?" She asks. I frown at her. "What?" I say, confused. "Your comment at the table. You've been so interested about babies recently." Halsey comments. I roll my eyes, earning a swat on the arm from her. "It's nothing. I'm just glad you'll have some siblings, that's all." I say. Halsey raises an eyebrow. I kiss her, my hand caressing her cheek. I pull away, looking at her. "Come on, let's just leave it, please." I plead. She nods, hugging me tightly.
