Chapter 14

~A sound soul dwells within a sound mind and a sound body~

"I'm the real Soul." One said.
"Wrong I am. Don't believe him Alice he's a fake."The other said.
"Both of you shut up."She said putting her hand on her fore head. Getting a headache.
How am I supposed to know who the real one is.
"Alright. I'm going to ask you questions. Whoever gets them right is the real Soul."she says still looking back and forth from them.
They both nod at the same time. Messing with her head again.
"Umm....First Question."she thinks for a moment."What happened when I first met Blair?"
"She....ummm...."The one on the right side says.
"You jumped and hid behind me."The left one says smiling.
"Right."she nods."Question two. What happened when we ate the Catalina pepper?"
"You ate a tub of ice cream and I drank all the milk."The right one says.
"Good."she says."Next. What did we cook first day we met?"
"Soup!"The left one yells.
"Ah huh."she nods. She started thinking that left was the real one. It knew most of all the questions. Right said one answer and it was something Soul had told her when she was with the demon.
"Last question."she says."How did the black blood take me over in our battle?"
"Your anger for Arachne taking Soul and Maka!"The right one yelled.
Alice smiled and walked toward him."Trick question, Demon."
The fake Soul smirked and turned back into the red demon."Smart one aren't you?"
"Very."she says. "Go back to your piano room."
"Fine."he snaps and disappears.
"I thought you were going to pick him as the real Soul."he says.
"There's only one Soul."she says and smiles. She hugs him.
"Come on we need to go defeat Medusa."He says and smiles at her. She nods.
Alice closed her eyes and appeared back on the blade. Soul smiles down at her and dodges another swing from Medusa.
"Ready?"she says smiling.
"Always."he says and twirls her.
"SOUL RESONANCE!!!"They both yelled.
Both their soul's sparked together and in a flash connected. They both yelled in a battle cry. Alice's blade became a huge blade. It had a black haze around it and glowed a bit.
"Genie Hunter!!"Soul yelled and attacked Medusa. Her eyes widened and she moved back a bit.
"You can't hurt me or-"she got cut off by the blade slicing straight through her.
Alice turned back to human. She smiled."That attack was an Anti-magic attack. It only hurts you."
Rachel fell to the ground. Medusa floated up to the air she stared at them both. Her torso split apart."There are other witches out there that want to get a kishin. Both of you are safe. For now."
She faded away and a purple soul floated down to them.
Alice looked at Soul."We did it."
"We did."he smiled and kissed her. She was a bit surprised but kissed back and pulled back quickly.
"Come on. We need to get back to the others."she says taking the soul in her hands.
"What about us?"Erula says.
"You helped. Somewhat. So you'll come with us."Alice says and starts to head out. The lights in the headquarters were starting to fade.
"Won't need this anymore."she says and rips off the snake necklace and throws it.

*Time Skip*

Alice, Eruka, Free, and Soul stood in the Death Room. Alice still held Medusa's soul in her hands.
"Yo, Yo. What happened?"Death says.
"Basically. We kidnapped Arachne and Mosquito. And we killed Medusa."Alixe says holding up the soul.
"Two weapons defeated a witch?" Death asks.
Alice and Soul look at each other. "Yes." they both said.
"Hmmm... I've never heard of that. Well besides Liz and Patti but thwy both are sisters."Death says.
"Well we did it...somehow. Anyways who gets the soul?"Alice holds it up.
"Decide that among yourselves. And these two?"Death looks at Eruka and Free.
"Oh. Their on our side. They helped us take down Arachne."Alice answers.
"They still did terrible things." Death says.
"That's only because Medusa put one of her snakes inside of us. So she could kill us if we didn't do something right."Eruka says shyly.
"Well for you. I could've escaped any time."Free says.
"Hmmm....well I guess they'll have to prove they're good but for now they can stay."Death says.
"Alright."Alice smiles."I'm going to go rest for now. Fighting really got me tired."
"No kidding. Let's go."Soul says and walks out with her. Eruka and Free stay there to talk to Death.

Maka's P.O.V

Maka walked down with Tsubaki and Black Star down to the dungeons under the school. Tsubaki dragged Arachne and Mosquito on her chain from her hair.
"Wonder who's going to get the soul."Tsubaki says thoughtfully.
"Obviously me. The almighty Black Star! I will surpass the-"Black Star starts.
Maka hits him on the head with her hand. Her hand starts to smoke a bit."Lord Death hasn't even said we're killing her."
"I'd rather die then be with you people."Arachne mutters.
Black Star opens the celler door and Tsubaki leads them in. She releases the chain around them. Maka takes some other chains and puts them on them. They then slam the door close and lock it.
"I have been gone for so long. I missed so much studying. I'll see you guys later."she waves to them and runs out of the dungeons.
She walked home and opened the door to see Soul sleeping on the floor and Alice on the table. Maka rolled her eyes. Something caught her eye though. She turned to Alice and saw a purple witch soul. She was cuddling with it and it was obviously not coming out of her arms.
When did they get a witch soul? Maka thinks but shrugs and heads to her roon to read a book.

*Some time Later*

Maka had fallen asleep on her books anf jumped up. She heard yelling in the kitchen and grabbed a bat. She ran to the kitchen holding it up.
"....No way I should get the soul. I was the one who killed her."Soul says.
"I was the one who had to find your freaking soul. And I faught her too."Alice bites back.
Maka slowly puts the bat away and pretends like nothing happened. She walk into the kitchen.
"What are you guys talking about?"Maka asks.
"About me getting Medusa's soul."Soul says smirking.
"Wrong. About me getting the soul."Alice says to him.
They both start snapping at each other about who got the soul.
"You got Medusa's soul?"Maka asks.
"Yeah. I did."
"No way. I totally defeated her."
They both start bickering at each other again.
"Maybe you'll both get souls. Arachne might die so it's obvious it'd go to one of you two."Maka shrugs.
"I still want Medusa's soul."Alice says.
"Fine I'll get Arachne's soul."Soul says.
"We still don't have a hundred kishin egg souls."Maka adds."So nothing will happen to both of you yet."
"Who cares. I've never eaten a witches soul."Alice says looking at it carefully.
"Not alot of weapon have. Especially for their first soul."Maka adds again.
"Whatever I'm eating it."Alice says. She holds the purple soul up and plops it in her mouth. She swallows quickly.
"Hmmm.....that tastes pretty good."Alice says licking her lips.
"Right?"Soul says.
"Anyways I'm going to go read."Maka says and goes back to her room.

*Soul's P.O.V*

Soul leaned against the kitchen counter. Alice had just eaten her first soul and it wss a witch's soul. That's got to be legend. Soul told this.to Alice but she just shrugged it off and said."I could care less if I was a legend."
"We should go get more."Alice says thoughtfully.
"More witch souls?"Soul says.
"No. More kisgin eggs. We could do it without a meister anyways."Alice looks at him.
"I guess so. Haven't eaten a kishin egg in a while. "He shrugs and gets up."I'm going to go get ready."
She nods and goes to Maka's room to get her clothes. Soul went to his room and put on his gray pants with an orange shirt and a leather jacket.
"When'd you get that scar?"Someone asks.
Soul turns around to see Alice at the door. She wore a black and white dress with a blue tie and some combat boots with a leather jacket.
"Huh? Oh. I got it in a battle."He finishes putting on his jacket.
"Okay. Let's go then."she says and walks to the door. He follows her and they both head out to collect kishin eggs.
