Chapter 22

Soul's P.O.V

Alice was insane. Soul could tell by just looking at her eyes. They were a dark red almost black. Her black hair was steaming with black smoke and she had a huge grin on her face. This is my fault I shouldn't of left her.
"Alice? More like insane Alice."she smiled evily and laughed.
"No this isn't the real Alice." Maka says her hands in fists.
"Both right and wrong. You see I am Alice and also the red demon." she smiles twitching a bit. Her voice changed to the red demons voice.
It's just like when I went insane. Maka came and the red demon was there. If she didn't come I would've gone completely insane. And now the same thing happened to Alice except no one came to help. Soul growled a bit and held his head.
"Soul...its happening again." Maka says.
"I know! I wasn't there to help her!"Soul growls a bit and puts a hand on his forehead.
Alice laughs."Your right. She is mad at you now. She hates you."
Soul looked up at him his eyes widened and he grinds his shark teeth."LIAR!!!"
"Am I?" Her voice changed. From the red demon's to her own. "Soul..."
"Alice?"he looked at her. Hoping it would be a lie. He was about to go to her but Maka but a hand on his shoulder shaking her head.
"Soul...you...didn't help me." Alice smiled a bit and laughed slowly."You couldn't help me. Just like everyone else. Thinking I was a monster. And then running away."
"I wanted to! I didn't know you were in trouble!"Soul says putting his hands to fists.
"That's so sweet. To bad you'll be killed by her now." The red demon said. He was controlling her. And he could use her to destroy the whole Death City.
"Soul...transform."Maka says.
"What?"He says looking at her. She stared at Alice still not looking at him.
"Turn into a scythe."She said again.
He nodded reluctantly."Right."he turned into a scythe. She spun him around like she always did when they were partners. He showed up into the blade.
"Remember we can't hurt her." Soul said.
"I know but if she attacks we'll have to defend. If we can get her to just pass out you could possibly connect with her without her attacking everything." Maka explained.
Alice kept giggling."You really want to fight, Maka? Wouldn't that hurt your little friend?"
"Shut up."she said calmly. Alice laughed and her blades came out of her arms red instead of black.
Alice attacked trying to slice her. Maka easily spun Soul and dodged the attack. Alice kept attacking having Maka dodge. Soul could tell Maka was just waiting for the best opportunity to strike her. Making her pass out. Which is when Soul can connect with her. Helping her defeat the red demon.
Alice attacked again and Maka blocked then struck Alice's head with the end of the staff to the scythe. Making her get a bit wobbly. Maka jumped up and kicked her in the head. Making her finally fall.
Soul turned back to human and kneeled down next to Alice putting her head in his lap."Call Lord Death."he said to Maka and she nodded looking for a mirror.
Soul looked down to Alice petting her hair a bit."Please be ok."he said and closed his eyes. He appeared back in complete darkness and looked around. How am I supposed to find her. Again.
