Part 10

I want my family back.

(James is back for sure)

No more hiding for me, I went to my house so I wouldn't scare Liz I trimmed my beard down so she could recognize me, I rang the bell, and she answered the door she asked me can she help me, I told her yes, she can I'd like some of her famous sweet rolls, she looked at me and said Mr. James is that you.

I hugged her and said yes, and I missed her, she said everyone will be so happy I'm back, and it looks like I could use a meal, I look skinny. I told her I'm alright, she said let her call Pierre and tell him I'm back, I told her he knows, she asked me did I know we're not married anymore; I told her I know and I'm going to do everything I can to get my family back. Liz looked at me, I told her I know about the man Pierre thinks he's going to marry, but once I explain everything, he'll take me back.

I told her everything that I could remember about the accident, but now I'm home and I've been seeing the twins at school, I told them it's our secret for now, and I don't want her to tell Pierre my secret either, she said she won't but sooner or later he's going to find out. I told her I'll deal with that when it comes, right now I have a taste for her sweet rolls, she said funny thing is she baked some and I come home wanting them, now it really feels that I'm back, because she knows how I feel about her sweet rolls. We went into the kitchen and her sister is eating a roll, she asked who I am, Liz told her it's me, she just looked at me and finished eating her roll.

I told Liz the place looks great, she said of course it does she doesn't lack on her work just because she's the only one here, she asked me does Manny and Dyland know I'm back, I told her they know, and I need to apologize to her, because I was the one in the yard that night, her sister said I'm lucky she didn't put a bullet in my ass. Liz told her to hush; she didn't even have her gun that night, she's just glad I'm back and a lot is going to change around here, she looked at her sister.

I took my roll and went upstairs to my room, I looked at the bed, soon Pierre will be back in it with me, and the twins will come running in and jumping on the bed saying daddy's get up.

 I went back downstairs, and I told Liz I'm leaving, she looked at me with a puzzled look on her face, I told her don't worry I'm home for good, I'll be back, I left and went to the Alexander building, I asked to see Ekim, the receptionist asked if I had an appointment. I told her no, but he'll see me. Tell him James Lattimore wishes to see him, she looked at me and made the call, she said he'll see me go right in, I walked in and Ekim is sitting behind his desk as if he were expecting me. Reese said welcome back, he was wondering when I was going to see them.

Ekim told me to have a seat, he said as he looked up at me, he said I'm looking well, I told him I'm much better now that I'm home, he said he knows that I see the twins, he hasn't said anything to Pierre about it after all I am there father too. I said yes, I am, I asked him is he going to try and stop me from getting my family back, Ekim looked at me and said do what I think is right, but it's up to Pierre and if I do anything to Robert which I know who he is, Pierre will never take me back.

He did ask me where the hell I've been, he had his men looking for me, I told him I knew that, and I didn't want to be found, I had to do some thinking, but I ended up in Canada and that's where I had my accident. I couldn't remember anything, they found Cecil's I.D. on me, something I kept since I lost him, but I knew that wasn't me, slowly I started remembering things, and a few weeks ago I remembered I was married to Pierre and had the twins. And yes, I know he's engaged to be married we'll see about that.

Ekim told me it's time I spoke with Pierre and tell him everything, but he's not sure that will change anything, I told him it's worth a try, I told him I missed all of the family, Reese said no matter what happens we'll always be friends, I shook his hand and left.

I met with Manny and little CJ for lunch, I told CJ now that I'm back he can come and see me at the house, he asked me will Pierre be there, I told him someday he will, Manny looked at me with a puzzled look on his face. I told him I'm going to fight to get my family back, and his brothers will be under my roof again. We ordered lunch and talked, Manny said but Pierre has moved on and remember he's engaged.

Manny asked have I even spoken with Pierre, I told him not yet, but I will, and once I explain everything he'll understand and come back to me, we can even remarry again. Manny said he's not so sure that I could get my family back, I told him, but I am sure because the love that Pierre and I have will never change. He said Pierre is in love with Robert now and he really helped him out while I was gone, I told him I'm here now just wait and see Pierre will come back to me.

After lunch Manny asked CJ would he like to come home with me, we have a lot to catch up on, I said it's fine with me, Manny said he'll bring Jamie with him they'll come by the house later, I said that's fine I'd like to see Jamie, Manny left, and CJ and I left too.

(Manny has to confront Pierre)

After leaving dad, I went to see Pierre, I told him everything dad said, Pierre said he's glad dad has his memory back, but that doesn't change anything, dad lied to him and went back to that life again, and he won't let him put the twins in danger.

I told him I love both of them, and I just wanted him to know what's going on in my dad's head, he thanked me and said once he talks to dad he'll understand, I told him I'm not so sure he will, he's different. I hugged Pierre and left; I really hope Pierre can make dad understand he's moved on.

Manny left, and I knew what I had to do, I called Robert and told him I'd like to go away for a while, can he join me, he said whatever I want to do is fine with him, I told him it will be just us; I have a lot of thinking to do and I need him with me. He asked does some of the thinking have to do with us, I told him I already know what's to be as far as us, don't worry. He said he loves me, I told him I love him more, after I talk to the twins I'll come and see him, we both hung up, and I told the twins I'm going away for a while. Chandler said no, every time someone leaves him, they don't come back, PJ said but their other daddy came back, Chandler said he wasn't supposed to tell.

 I asked them have they seen James, they said yes, please don't stop them from seeing their daddy, I hugged them and said they can see him. And I told Chandler I will come back, I promise, I told them I'm going to see Robert, but I'll be back soon, and I'll spend the rest of my time with them until I leave for my trip.

 I walked out of there room and went to my room, I wanted to scream, James has been seeing them behind my back, I hope he didn't tell them we're going to be a family again, I got my keys and left in the car I just screamed damn you James why did you have to come back, just when things are good for me.

I went to see Robert, and I told him what Manny told me, and that's why I need to get away, I'm still afraid of what James might do, Robert asked me is he that unstable that he would hurt him to get me back. I told him he might, and I won't let that happen, I told Robert I want to leave tomorrow, I already told the twins I was going away.

Robert said whatever I want he'll standby me, I hugged him, we spent the evening talking but I had to get home. We kissed and I left, when I got home, I had dinner with the twins, and we played a game before they went to bed, I told them I'm going away tomorrow but I'll call them every day I promise.

 I also told them they're going to stay with their dad while I'm gone, they said yah, I kissed them good night, what I didn't tell them is that I'm going to marry Robert, I guess I should've told him that too.
