3 more days on the road, or should I say nights. It's become safer for us to move during the night under the cover of darkness and rest during the day.

Although we never seem to do much resting. The combination of RadX and RadAway seems to be working. Y/N hasn't exhibited any radiation sickness, which is good because I can't keep my hands off her.

This morning, after a long night's walk, we found a water purification plant and paid a handful of caps and traded some rubber for enough water to have a bath.

We filled a metal tub with buckets of purified water and slid in. Out of sight of any prying eyes and shielded by large grasses that grow by the side of the old riverbed.

The warm air swirled around us, lifting up dust and depositing a thin veil over the water. The reeds swayed in the wind. The clucking of chickens from nearby made for an almost normal experience.

Y/N sat naked between my legs, her head laid back against my chest, absentmindedly swirling the water with her fingers, eyes closed.

A loud buzzing interrupted our solitude as a bloatfly passed by behind us. It turned and made a beeline towards us. I lazily picked up my gun from the side of the tub and shot it.

It dropped with a wet thud.

Y/N didn't even open her eyes. She lathered up her legs with a small bar of soap. I stopped her before she got to her arms. "Allow me," I said, taking the bar and intertwining my fingers with hers, stealing away the suds and rubbing them down her arm.

Smoothing the lather over her chest and beautiful breasts, her head tipped to the side and I placed a kiss on her forehead. My hand moved up to her neck.

"Wrong way," she whispered.
"Is that all I'm good for?" I playfully squeezed her neck.
"You have some other redeeming qualities."
She dipped her head down below the water.
Reemerging, she twisted her body and sat at the other end of the metal tub.

"If we keep on like this, we should be hitting the outskirts of New Vegas tomorrow."
"Will you tell me what is in that box yet?" She looked towards the metal case I retrieved from Vault City.

"Come on, I'll show you. I'm running the very real risk of getting wrinkly in here." I say with a wink

I unclicked the latches on the case on the table between us. We were sitting on either side of the small table in a pre-war diner. The place was empty and would be a good place to stay tonight.
