Pt16

Mimi set out on a quest to make something of her new identity with her husband Jinki supporting everything that she did. In between parenthood, Mimi has a lot of opportunities to sit down at her desk with a pen in her hand with a clear mind jot down everything that came to her onto that piece of paper nearby letting the words flow freely out her brain. It has become clear this was a gift she had been given since birth was now unlocked. Parenthood took up a lot of Mimi's time but that wasn't about to slow her down as she could adapt to overcome any struggles that came with life. Countless hours went by in a day where Mimi would think up random tunes to go with the words as she would be doing house chores or whatever else it may be in those sparingly times she would write down the musical notes so whoever got her piece of art could easily find out how it was supposed to be sung.

On a fine lovely Wednesday afternoon Mimi just finished the song she'd been working on when suddenly her doorbell rang so she went to see who it could've been. To her surprise, it wasn't whom she expected to see but it was a lovely surprise. Taemin leaned against the door giving Mimi a cold-hearted stressful sigh as he just so happened to be in the area for a few days away from work. What Taemin desperately needed was a break from life's grinding millstone but he couldn't quite yet get what he wanted. Mimi being an empathetic person recognized the importance of the moment so she delightfully let Taemin in her house to see what was up with him. Taemin sat down not looking too disturbed on the outside but once he had time to relax for less than 5 minutes he unloaded all his issues to one of his best friends. "You know I have this ballet coming up and I really need key pointers from Kai but he's busy a lot lately with his recital that he and his dance team will perform in a few days. Girl I'm fucked! I'm also not wanting to stress Sooyoung out either as she's still pregnant. However, she's been behaving oddly lately as her weird cravings have ramped up seemingly to have worsened. Including the fact she's been doing this weird thing where she's sprucing the house up nonstop, clinging to the child's teddy bear and during this process, she doesn't like to be disturbed. When I say that trust me if you get too close to her she will snap on you then she'll suddenly start crying when she sees the effect that had on you. On top of it, I know our anniversary is coming up soon too. Of course, you know if I miss this then I'll get the third degree and I'll be in the dog house for a while. There's so much going on right now and I also know with you being a mother there is very little time for you to have any self time. I'm sorry girl but I needed to vent."

Mimi listened with much intent being there for her emotionally distressed friend understanding what it's like to be overwhelmed and on the verge of losing her mind. "Wow, you do have a lot going on. I'll Tell you what Taemin, you go get Sooyoung's favourite ideas, hints and whatever else she gives you. As soon as you get them come to me and let me handle the details. I'll take what you give me from her end and piece them together with yours to have the best ideas available for you both. Hmm well, I also would love to help you with your performance if you don't mind. Just take me to your studio I'm a great dancer it might've been years ago I took ballet but it's worth a shot. I don't have to worry about Jeong he's with Sooyoung as I needed some space to sort out my thoughts. Oh, that reminds me, I've been writing a song and I think you'll be the one to help me market it or even sell it to a famous artist. Who better than you to review it than you as a dancer? Oh, you silly goose Sooyoung is nesting and her maternal instincts are in full-on overdrive at this point. Don't be afraid Sooyoung is already deeply bonded with your unborn child so she's preparing the atmosphere of the house perfectly to the way she knows it. You have nothing to worry about other than the fact you don't have much longer before she's due. I'll check in with her later when I go to pick up my baby boy."

Taemin leaned his head back on Mimi's couch in frustration sighing out whole heartily again running his fingers through his hair to wrap his around all that was said about his wife. "Mimi, let me ask you something." Mimi nodded softly giving the floor over again to Taemin. "How the fuck did Jinki deal with you? I mean he's got some nerves of steel, doesn't he? I don't mean it disrespectfully not at all it's just more of a curiosity. I can already see my end of the deal is shit due to the tension, the whole work situation and everything else combined is way too much for my liking. And now you tell me Sooyoung could be going into labour having our child any day now doesn't help. Now, you asking me to help you with your music while offering me help in both of my weakest moments means a lot. This is lovely I needed to hear that so thank you for being a saving grace in my time of needing a friend. I definitely will get that information from my chubby chipmunk wife. In no way is my baby girl fat or anything but she's just a pocket-size pudge ball like a chipmunk you know?" Mimi laughed softly knowing what he meant as she could remember her pregnancy all so well. "Jinki is a pretty patient but loving man. He always ensured I ate, drank, rested and exercised regularly regardless of what happened between us two. I just finished what I was working on right as you rang my doorbell but indeed I am thrilled to help you as much as possible. My sister definitely can be a pain in the ass but you can't stop loving her no matter what. I know you didn't mean any disrespect towards Sooyoung but you're right she is a chubby little chipmunk. Like when she's eating her cheeks expand and her hands fold in latching onto the food and holding it tightly. My oh my, like Sooyoung no one's going to take your food away from you I also swear if we could see the baby I bet it's down in her belly enjoying every single piece of food. I'm sure the baby is going to be nicely plumped all the way around."
