Chapter 14

Christmas was on the rise. Umbridge had Slytherin's on full watch for anymore parties. The Christmas ball had been cancelled due to her rules.

Kiara still made time to attend Dumbledore's Army in the Room of Requirement's. She hated lying to her friends about where she was going but she knew they wouldn't agree with her spending time with Harry and his friends.

Kiara and Mattheo had barely spoken since Pansy busted them. It had been a few weeks now.

"Hey Kie" Theodore called Kiara over, holding a piece of parchment up.

Him, Pansy, Mattheo and Lorenzo all sat on the sofa. Kiara looked at Mattheo before taking the parchment off Theodore.

"What's this?" Kiara questioned, opening it.

"A letter from our parents. Looks like we will be having Christmas at Hogwarts" Theodore explains, rolling his eyes.

"Don't worry Theo. I'm not going home for the holiday's either" Pansy announces.

"What how?" Kiara looks at Pansy in concern

"Nothing special. Just a falling out with my parents that's all" She confesses, slightly upset.

"Again?" Mattheo scoffs in small concern.

Pansy nodding in agreement. Theodore throwing his arm around her in comfort.

Kiara awkwardly sits down next to Mattheo. She was still pissed about him calling their time a mistake, although she never had feelings for him in that way it still hurt her.

"You've got to stay Matt!" Theodore demanded.

"Already on it" Mattheo reached over for his joint. "But I swear if that Umbridge woman is staying for the holidays I'm leaving" he scoffs.

"Oh please. She lets you off with basically everything" Kiara scoffs, rolling her eyes.

"That's because she fancies me" Mattheo smugly teased, lighting his joint up.

"You wish!" Pansy scoffs, backing up Kiara.

"If she fancies anyone it's me!" Lorenzo announces, causing everyone to laugh.

Kiara and Mattheo went to the station to send their friends off for the holidays. Theodore and Pansy stayed back at the castle for some time alone.

Kiara was not looking forward for her and Mattheo's walk back to the castle.

A word wasn't spoken between the two of them. The snow began to fall, making the scenery magical. Mattheo took his hat off, placing it on Kiara's head.

"Ah.. thank you" Kiara spoke softly.

Mattheo continued walking, not even looking at her.

"You know what! This is ridiculous!" Kiara snapped, stopping in place, causing Mattheo to turn around in confusion.

"We have barely spoken since that night and I get it. It was weird right? More because of Pansy busting us. But this is just awkward now" Kiara started blubbering on.

Mattheo couldn't help but snicker. She smacked him across the arm "it's not funny!"

"I'm sorry. I know. I know" Mattheo throwing himself back in defence.

"You called me a mistake" Kiara mumbled

Mattheo went into shock, grabbing her by the shoulders. "You're not a mistake! The situation was a mistake and should have never happened. I made things go back to normal so that it wasn't weird" Mattheo admitted. "That night was weird yes but it was also.. pretty.. good. I swear to you, you are no mistake!" He pleaded
