Chapter 35

Pansy had finally managed to force Kiara to go back for her final year. Astoria and Daphne never returned, with their parents not allowing them.

"I'm so glad you decided to come back with me" Pansy muttered.

Kiara sent her a small smile.

"Do you think any of them will come back?" She questioned

"I..I don't know.." Kiara stutters. A part of her wanted them to return so that she could give them a piece of her mind for getting her caught and tortured, but another part of her hoped they wouldn't return due to the fear of not being able to look them in the eye.

As they arrived to Hogsmeade station, meeting Blaise and Goyle before making their way to the castle.

Kiara looked around to see that Harry and his friends were also no where to be seen. Slight panick taking over as deep down she knew that Harry was their only chance in surviving with Dumbledore gone.

"I heard that Professor Snape is new head master" a student whispered as they walked by.

"What?" Kiara engaged into their conversation, resulting in questionable looks from them as they continued to walk away. "I told you we shouldn't have returned Pans" She mumbled. "He's.. he's one of them"

"I wouldn't worry about Snape, little Knott. I'm sure everything will be just fine" Blaise places his arm around her gently in comfort.

"We will be fine" Pansy smiles.

As they entered the great hall, all the tables were gone, leaving the room completely empty. Kiara could feel a sense of danger as the teachers made their way to the front as student began lining up within their houses.

Professor Snape began to make a slow and doomed announcement, one that Kiara could not pay attention too as the doors opened and a few death eaters began to walk in. One she had recognised from the meeting she had attended. Greyback.

Kiara could feel her heart beginning to pound harder and faster as she watched them walk past all the students. She couldn't take her eyes off their every movement, that was until Greyback grinned in her direction.

"I have to go" she quickly muttered, pushing past Pansy and running out of the great hall. Memories of being locked down in the Malfoy Dungeons flooded her brain as she made her way to her dorm.

Every curse used upon her, every slap, every time her body hit the cold stone walls and floors. Her hand clinging onto her chest as she felt her heart about to explode into little shards.

She bashed into the door of her Dorm, instantly realising she wasn't alone.

"What are you doing here?" she stepped back from the dark figure sat at the bottom of her bed. "Get out of my room!" She whimpered.

"K..Kie.." his deep voice spoke, as he stood up from the bed.

"GET OUT!" Kiara yelled, her heart still beating fast as she backed up into the door.

"Kie.. please.. I'm sorry" he mumbled, walking slowly over towards her.

"I SAID GET OUT!" She yelled again, startling him.

"I came to check on you, hoping you'd return" he began, holding out his hand to not be feared.

Tears began streaming down Kiara's face as more memories hurdled her.

"Oh Kie.. My Kie.." he opened his arms up, approaching her.

"NO!" Kiara pushed him back. "There is no your Kie! You.. you left me there Matt, You.."

"I tried too! I swear to you! I tried to save you!" Mattheo pleaded.

"No. No" Kiara dropped to the floor, being overwhelmed of emotions.

"They locked me up Kie.. I tried so hard! I tried everyday" He admits, dropping down in front of her. "Please.." Mattheo mumbled.

Kiara looked up slowly through her teary eyes, locking eyes with Mattheo's deep watery brown eyes, spotting the scar across his face that hadn't been there the last time they saw each other.

"M..Matt" she threw herself onto him.

Mattheo wrapped his arms around her tightly, burying his face into her neck.

They both sat on the floor for a long time. Kiara over Mattheo's lap as she sobbed into his chest.

"I'm so sorry Kie" he muttered, choking up slightly, holding back his tears.

Mattheo decided to lift her up off the floor and place her into bed, cuddling up behind her. He stroked her hair until she fell asleep.

"I love you kie" he whispered quietly as he continued to stroke his fingers through her hair and pressing his lips softly on the side of her face.

Pansy made her way back to the dorm, slight rage forming as she see's Mattheo fast asleep with Kiara.

Her raging slowly turning into sorrow, she was fully ready to kick him out, but after seeing Kiara peacefully sleeping for the first time in weeks.

She made her way towards her wardrobe to grab some pyjamas.

"Parkinson?" Mattheo grunted

"Riddle" She replied.

"I'm sorry.. I.. I had to see her" he whispered, trying not to wake Kiara.

Pansy instantly placed her finger over her lips "shh" and made her way towards the door. "Hurt her again. I'll kill you" she mumbled before shutting the door behind her, heading to Blaise's dorm.
