Chapter 37

It was the next day. The day before classes were to begin. The rain fell hard that day. Students hiding out in their dorms or the common room area. Barely anyone to be seen.

Kiara had decided to not tell Pansy that she had wrote to her brother, not wanting to get her hopes up. She could tell that Pansy was missing him more and more everyday, as she too missed her brother.

Although he was the reason she got caught, she couldn't hate him, not really.

The sun began to fall. Kiara made her way up to the Astronomy tower, admiring the view. The beautiful orange and pink colours reflecting against the castle.

After some time Kiara sat down on the edge, leaning her self over the barriers as she looked out into the distance, waiting.

She could feel a presence approaching and sitting down next to her. She did not turn to face him, but she knew it was him.

They sat in silence, both looking out into the dark skies, the stars glistening throughout the atmosphere.

"Do you hate me?" He murmured

"I could never hate you" Kiara softly replied, turning to face him.

His eyes turned on her as he felt her stare, both locking eyes with each other.

Theodore's eyes were watery, holding back his tears of guilt.

Kiara turned her head back towards their view, placing her head down on his shoulder.

"Has he came to see you?" Theodore questioned.

She nodded her head in agreement, knowing that he was talking about Mattheo.

Kiara lifted her head up to look at him. "I know you sent Malfoy"

Theodore's screwed his eyes up slightly. "H..how?"

"Because I know you. Better than you know yourself" she replied.

He nodded slowly at her words, a small smile forming across his face.

"And for god sake, go and see Pansy or at least write to her" Kiara demanded in a way that made her seemed annoyed with him.

Theodore chuckled, pulling out a packet of cigarettes from his pocket.

Time passed, Theodore had to head back to the manor before their father found out that he had left to come see her.

Kiara made her way back to the common room, spotting Pansy, Blaise and Goyle on the sofa playing wizards chess.

Not telling them about her interaction with her brother.

"Let me join" she insisted, sitting down next to Blaise, who was alone against Pansy and Goyle.

"I'm still kicking their ass even on my own, but of course" Blaise chuckled, teasing the two of them opposite him.

"Bite me!" Pansy snapped.

Kiara couldn't help but laugh at their reactions to Blaise's words.

After a few games, Kiara and Pansy made their way back to their dorm room.

"Matty?" Pansy exhaled under her breath.

Kiara pushed past her to see Mattheo sat on the bottom of her bed. "What happened? Are you okay?" She questioned in a panic, rushing over towards him.

Mattheo was covered in blood, he had been beaten up pretty badly.

"I'm fine" Mattheo muttered quietly, lightly pushing Kiara's hands off his face.

"You're not fine! You're covered in blood!" Pansy snapped, her arms crossed against her chest.

Mattheo didn't bother to look at her but instead looked into Kiara's eyes. "Did you write to him?"

Kiara looked up at Pansy then back towards Mattheo. "Mhm" she nodded her head. "I asked him to meet me.. he umm.." she stuttered

"So you've seen him?" Mattheo instantly questioned

"Yes" Kiara softly mumbled

Pansy looked between the two of them in shock. "You've seen him!" Her voice cracked.

"I'm sorry Pans. I didn't want to get your hopes up incase he didn't show. Incase he.."

"He's gone off the rails!" Mattheo stood up in rage. "He's the one that did this!" He pointed towards his face

"What!?" kiara was confused

"Why would he beat you?" Pansy questioned.

"You tell me! He's gone mad!" Mattheo's rage built up more.

"I don't understand" Kiara shook her head. "He's the reason I escaped. Him and Draco. He was perfectly fine when he met me in the Astronomy tower earlier" she admitted.

They all fell silent, unknown of what else to say. Kiara and Mattheo made their way into the bathroom to clean up his face.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Mattheo questioned

"Tell you what?" Kiara wiped some of the blood from his chin, focusing on every moment her hand made.

"That they helped you escape" he replied.

"Well really it was all Malfoy, but Theo, he was behind it all, I just know he was" Kiara explained. "But you can't tell anyone!" She snapped, pointing her finger in his face.

Mattheo slowly manoeuvered her finger away, placing it down onto her lap and raising his eyebrows thinking that he'd really tell anyone.

"I'm glad they saved you" he spoke softly, planting a small kiss on her forehead.

"Are you lovebirds done in there?" Pansy shouted through the door.

"Piss off, Parkinson" Mattheo barked

Pansy pushed the door open with force. "You're lucky I haven't gone straight to Snape about your presence here" she argued.

"You wouldn't" he scoffed, rolling his eyes.

"Don't test me" she snapped, with an evil grin.

"Let's just go get some sleep" Kiara chuckled, jumping off from the counter, leading the way out of the bathroom.
