Bucky's POV:
The train rattles along the tracks as one of HYDRA's soldiers fires at me with some kind of gun that is almost as long as his arms. I hide behind some of the crates that litter the entire carriage, my gun empty of bullets as my hope quickly drains. Anyone would think that this is the end. The metal door to the next carriage squeals open to reveal Steve backed up into one of the corners. A small smile creeps its way onto my face when I see the star-spangled man.

His shield is hooked onto one arm and a gun is in his other hand. He gestures to me and then the gun. I instantly know what he means. He tosses his gun to me as I discard my own. Steve charges at the shelf of crates in the centre of the carriage and uses his shield to knock one of them onto the HYDRA soldier, knocking him down. As the HYDRA soldier stumbles back up, I blast him twice with my gun, sending him to his death.

"I had him on the ropes." I state to Steve. "I know you did." He replies. A whirring sound suddenly fills the room. I begin to turn around to see what it could be but Steve drags me behind his shield as I see what it is. The force of the HYDRA soldier's gun bounces off of Steve's shield and pushes open one of the walls of the train. The cold, winter air rushes into the carriage.

Steve quickly gets up and reaches for his shield. The HYDRA soldier fires at him before he can even reach for his other gun. The force of the blast throws Steve out of the train, dropping his shield back onto the ground. In a fit of rage, I reach for his shield and send it flying at the HYDRA soldier. I rush out to the agape hole in the train to find Steve holding onto one of the metal pipes for dear life!

"Steve!" I exclaim, gaining his attention. "Hang on." I start climbing onto the wall of the train, trying to get close enough to him. "Take my hand!" I state, holding out my hand for him. He reaches out, but the metal pipe snaps off of the wall! He grasps back onto it just before it completely gives way. Steve screams as he falls down into the snowy abyss. The train continues rolling on the tracks, as if the death of my best friend had never even happened.

His screams still ring throughout my ears as I begin to cry. My tears instantly freeze against my face as the bitter wind crashes against my body. The train continues down the tracks.
