Daniel POV:
OTP: (on the phone)
"WHAT!! HOW THE FUCK CAN HE RUN AWAY?!!
"FIND HIM NO MATTER WHAT, AND BRING HIM TO THE BASEMENT BY TOMORROW MORNING!"
Daniel angrily ended the call. Someone he trusted had stolen from him and vanished. It wasn't about the value of the items taken; it was the betrayal that stung. Daniel despised traitors.
Daniel in mind:
"He'll pay for stealing from me. He dared to steal from the great mafia leader, huh? I'll ensure he's the first and last person to betray me."
THE NEXT MORNING:
OTP:
"Sire, we've got him. We're taking him to the basement now," Lucas gasped out.
"Good. I'm on my way," Daniel replied before hanging up and starting to drive towards the basement.
In Daniel's perspective:
I swung open the basement door, flicked on the lights, and found a man in his mid-fifties, nicely beaten and bleeding from various wounds.
"Wake up, you bastard," I shouted.
When the man faced me, his complexion paled. I smirked.
"Thought you could get away from me, huh?" I sneered.
"Sir, please! Please, please, let me go! I'm sorry I stole," he begged.
"You even owe me ten thousand, right?" I asked in a deep, husky voice.
"I—I—"
"What's the point of having you? You didn't pay what you owe, and now you stole from me!" I bellowed, making him flinch.
"You know what? Let's just kill you, you useless piece of shit!" I cursed.
With that, I pulled out my gun and squeezed the trigger.
"No, no, NO, NO, NO... PLEASE, I beg you, please don't. I'll give you anything you want! Please, spare me! PLEASE!" he pleaded desperately.
"I—I don't know anything you ask," the man stammered.
"Boss, he has a daughter," one of my men spoke up.
"How old?" I inquired.
"A—around twenty," my man replied.
"Perfect! So, can you hand over your daughter, huh?" I smirked.
"Y-Yes, take her! As if I care about her," he spat out.
"What?" I questioned.
"Nothing. How about you give me forty-five thousand, and I'll give you my daughter?"
"Deal. She should be here by tomorrow."
"Now let me go," he demanded.
"Don't you dare order me!" I roared, delivering a punch to his gut.
"Leave," I ordered, and my men untied him before he exited.
