I was in my office when my phone buzzed. It was a message from my father, inviting Bella and me to a ball tonight to introduce her. This ball occurs every year, and I absolutely hate it, but I don't have another choice. I called Lucas into my office.
"Lucas, I need you to send a ball dress to the mansion and tell the maids to get Bella ready by 6," I said, my tone leaving no room for discussion.
"What type of ball dress should I send?" Lucas asked, looking confused.
"I've already booked one. Go pick it up and deliver it," I replied curtly.
Lucas nodded, understanding the urgency, and left to run the errand.
Bella's POV:
I had been awake for quite a while but was too lazy to get up. Eventually, I decided to get out of bed because I needed to shower. I was pleased to see that Daniel had finally fulfilled his promise and gotten me some clothes. After showering, I dressed in the new outfit.

I still didn't have a phone because, according to Daniel, I hadn't obeyed him. Frustrated, I left the room to have lunch. As I walked downstairs, a man entered the mansion. He had something in his hand and looked familiar. It took a moment, but then I recognized him-he was the guy who had opened the door for me when I was brought here for the first time.
As I sat down to eat, one of the maids approached me and said, "Mrs. Parker, Mr. Parker sent this dress and wants you to be ready by 6."
"Why does he want me to go?" Bella asked.
"Mrs. Parker, Mr. Parker's father holds a ball every year, and this time you are invited too," the maid replied.
"Okay," Bella said.
"We'll get you dressed whenever you're ready," the maid said sweetly.
"Sure, after lunch," Bella replied. The maid nodded and left Bella to enjoy her meal in peace.

Around 4:30, Bella went to her room to get dressed. By 5:30, she was finished with her hair and makeup, thanks to a makeup artist. She then put on her dress and looked at herself in the mirror, loving her look. Finally, she slipped on her heels, completing her outfit and ready.
