Daniel's POV:

After ensuring Bella was sound asleep, Daniel left the room quietly, careful not to disturb her. As he made his way to his office, the events of the attack on their wedding night still fresh in his mind, anger simmered beneath the surface.

Entering his office, Daniel slammed the door shut behind him, his fists clenched in frustration. He turned to face his men, his expression dark and determined.

"Listen up," he barked, his voice commanding attention. "I want every available resource devoted to finding out who orchestrated the attack on my wedding and why they did it. I want answers, and I want them now."

His men nodded in understanding, the tension in the room palpable as they absorbed his words.

Daniel paced back and forth, his mind racing with possibilities. Whoever had orchestrated the attack had crossed a line, and he was determined to make them pay.

"Find out everything you can," he ordered, his voice cold and unwavering. "No stone left unturned. I want names, motives, everything." "Lucas, keep me updated." Lucas nods and then everyone leaves the room.

With a final glance at his men, Daniel turned and strode out of the office, his jaw set in determination. The hunt for his enemy had begun, and he would stop at nothing until he had uncovered the truth.

---------2 hours later---------

Bella's POV:

Waking up after an uncomfortable night in my dress, I groggily made my way out of bed and noticed a navy-blue silk night suit lying on the sofa. Grateful for the chance to change into something more comfortable, I retrieved the clothes and headed straight for the bathroom.

As the hot water cascaded over my body, I couldn't help but replay the events of  a few hours ago in my mind. The memory of the horrifying scene sent shivers down my spine, reminding me of the dangers that lurked just beyond our walls.

Despite the unsettling thoughts, I quickly showered, seeking solace in the warmth and familiarity of the water. Once refreshed, I slipped into the soft embrace of my pajamas.

Bella stepped out of the bathroom, a cloud of steam trailing behind her as she searched Daniel's room for the hairdryer. She glanced around, she moved closer to the dresser, her foot caught on something unseen, and she stumbled forward with a yelp, barely managing to catch herself before tumbling to the ground. "Are you alright?" Daniel's voice echoed from the doorway, filled with concern as he entered the room.

Bella turned to face him, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment. "I'm fine," she replied hastily, trying to brush off the incident as she regained her composure. Her eyes still searching the room for the hairdryer, Bella was startled by Daniel's sudden question. "You looking for something?" he inquired, his tone edged with curiosity.

"Um... yes, I am looking for the hairdryer," Bella replied, her voice tinged with uncertainty.

"Well, if you couldn't find it, you should've asked me," Daniel remarked, a hint of annoyance creeping into his tone.

Bella paused, her gaze flickering up to meet his. "Well, I thought the door was locked, as it used to be," she retorted, her words carrying a note of defiance. Daniel's expression softened slightly at Bella's response, a flicker of understanding crossing his features. "Things have changed," he muttered, his voice quieter now. "Well, I didn't know that," she replied. Daniel moved toward the dresser and pulled open the bottom right drawer. Retrieving the hairdryer, he handed it to Bella.
