Evening Disaster

Scarlett was getting annoyed with Kate not doing anything around the house other than feeding and cleaning after the cats. She tried to not parent her however it was getting difficult and made her so glad she's a lesbian and not being worried about getting pregnant. Having a child is not what she wanted, hanging out in the living room with her cats, texting Natalia to come over for dinner so she didn't have to deal with Kate alone and being annoyed. Kate was cooking dinner and while texting, presumably the guy she's seeing at the moment, a knock at the door and the text, Natalia arrived with a smile, "Thanks for coming."

"No problem. Hey Kate, how are you doing?"

"Good." Focusing on her phone, Scarlett rolled her eyes, annoyed, "Don't mind her, thanks for coming over, I don't think I can handle her alone right now."

"What's the problem? Other than being the mediator between y'all. Racheal explained and hey, she's just going through a phase. This edgy cool phase is going to pass."

"I sure hope so and I hope I wasn't taking you away with something important."

"No it's fine. I'm here to help you out and it'll be fine. And look, she's cooking, what's she making?"

"Chicken parmesan. The pasta is amazing and you'll love it."

"It's ready."

"Coconut."

"What?"

"If you need a breather to get away, say it and you can step away."

"Thanks."

The women took their seats and prepared themselves, Natalia took a bite and let Kate know it was incredible.

"This is amazing, Kate. It's really good."

"Thanks. I thought you were going to invite Lilith and Racheal, aren't they your friends?"

"I did but they were busy. Lilith had to work late and Racheal had plans. They couldn't make it and Natalia was free to come."

"What do you, Natalia?"

"Well as I mentioned, I'm a realtor. Been doing it for a while and I enjoy my job very much."

"How do you know and meet Scarlett? For you to spend the night, I want to know that story."

"Kate."

"Like she mentioned before, I was working late and had a few drinks when Scarlett showed up, she suggested I should sleep over so I wouldn't drive home so late. I met her through Racheal."

"As a cop I wouldn't let her drive home drunk."

Kate excused herself to the restroom, Scarlett rolled her eyes, Natalia took a sip of her water, "So for Kate, what does she think Lilith and Racheal do for work?"

"Lilith is working in a office and Racheal working as a bartender. No way she has to know more on what they do."

"Smart. But you think it works?"

"She never asked for information so yeah."

Kate returned back to the table and this time, an attitude, Natalia noticed it but didn't say anything, not her place to say, Scarlett noticed it, "Alright. What's wrong?"

"Nothing."

"Oh really because I know that look, I know it, I did it."

"It's nothing okay? Get over it."

Natalia sip her drink, "Good pasta."

"Alright what's your problem, Kate? I've been noticing..."

"Oh shocker. You noticed, just like a cop you are."
