Memories Resurfaced

Heading to the mall to spend the day together and hopefully forget the couple earlier, Lilith sighed and had a lot on her mind.
With Natalia patiently waiting to ask her which annoyed Lilith a little.

"I saw my brother and his wife back there. My older brother."

"Guessing from your need to leave right away, you haven't seen them in years."

"Not since being kicked out when my parents found out I've been working as a stripper, with him being a kissass to them. Being 18 and kicked out, disowned for doing the devil's work, 8 years and I never reached out to them, and it's been good. Because I got to do whatever I wanted I never really experienced, growing up in that family was not all great. To be expected what they wanted me to be from their eyes, to find a husband and pop out several kids and be a good little wife, it wasn't what I wanted for myself."

"What do you think they were there for? It can't be for lunch."

"I honestly don't know nor I care. They didn't want to know what's going on with me when they kicked me out before anyone from their church community found out what their daughter is doing. They probably lied about what happened to me but I doubt it. Let's forget about it and let's do some shopping, I need some new clothes for myself and for Rio. He needs some new pants and shirts, what? I'm allowed to care take of my man, oh I need some pick up on some groceries."

"Oh thanks for reminding me, I need some stuff as well."

"Since you finally found time to decorate your place, let's find some cute stuff for it. Come on I know a place."

A store filled with everything to decorate her apartment, all were so nice and perfect, Lilith gave her some tips and helped her with whatever she needed.

Looking around and finding some nice kitchen stuff, bedroom furniture, Lilith didn't mind if she wanted to change some things around the apartment, however Natalia liked the furniture in the living room but did bought a few things for the living room, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. Making the apartment feel more like home.

Lilith bought some new things for the kitchen and the restrooms, her eyes immediately went so wide when she found a few beautiful wall portraits, soon they went to shop around, finding new clothes, Natalia glanced over to Lilith, grabbing a few clothes that matched her style, even finding some clothes for Rio, finding a nice jacket in his size that he would love.

Hours of shopping, Lilith gave Natalia her car keys, "You go on ahead, I have to do something real quick."

"You sure? I can wait."

"No it's fine. Go and I'll meet you back at home, see you later."

"Alright."

Lilith's POV

Watching Natalia leave, I annoyingly sighed and went to a restaurant, where I met them, my brother Joel and his wife, Miriam, I rolled my eyes as she slightly judged my outfit, in their eyes, mostly hers, not very conservative or ladylike. Like I give a damn what they think.

"Virginia."

"First strike knowing I know what this is about, Joel. I'll be leaving in leaving without giving you shit."
Joel as always, has always been the serious one, a traditional man who would never allowed his wife to curse or do anything manly. Miriam is annoyed with my outfit, a black floral lace top with my bellybutton showing, black jeans and shoes. Something she could never wear due to what people would say in church.

"We didn't think you would agree to meet with us, Lily."

"Nothing's going to happen if you say my full name but whatever. What do you want?"
