Come Crashing Down

Immediately the trip to the clinic but the two stayed in the car, Rio let out an annoying sigh and groaned, "How late are you?"

Natalia biting her nails, "5 days." Glancing back at Rio, hoping to get some comfort or being a good friend, instand he wasn't worried.

"Are you serious not freaking out by the fact I might be pregnant? You know what, don't even bother."

Rio sighed, "What? Oh don't even assume it can be mine..."

Natalia scoffed, "I slept with you..."

Rio retract it back, "You shared you slept with some people over there. Swingers aren't always that great because there's always one couple who are way too much. And no, it can't be me."

"Rio."

"I got a vasectomy done, I only wore condoms so I can still be safe and not risk anything, especially if they start claiming if I'm the father and I announce I got my shit done."

"You can't be serious."

"I don't wear condoms with Lilith. What? We love it, and if she did get pregnant by me, we know what to do. Look let's go in and see, come on."

Natalia sighed and went inside with Rio, waiting was torture and she was called in, Rio went with her.
After some time, the results were in.

"Negative." Said the doctor, Natalia was confused but relieved, "But I'm late..."

"Have you been under kind of stress lately? That's one thing and how's your cycle?"

Rio leaned back against the chair, Natalia sighed, "Always in regular."

The doctor went through the tests, "You ever been tested for infertility issues?"

Natalia rise an eyebrow, "Not really, why?"

The doctor sighed, "Well Miss Kennedy, we took some tests and seems you're infertile." After explaining to Natalia on her chances in getting pregnant were quite low, it was quite devastating but something in Natalia made her feel in a way a relief.

After leaving the two alone, Rio cleared his throat, "Damn that's... That's awful. You okay? Hey I'm sorry about what I said, look if my vasectomy went wrong and I got you pregnant, I support you whatever decision you made, but to be honest, I won't be involved but I would financially, no, that sounded so bad and no sorry it just..."

"Hey it's okay. It's fine. I'm kinda relieved in a way, kids were a huge issue with my ex. He wanted them, I didn't but made myself want them so it can make Patrick happy so we talked and talked. It made me feel like shit. One kid would be fine but he wanted 5. I tried to get used to that idea and I always hoped I didn't get pregnant. And now, I'm glad I got that confirmation. I'm infertile but I'm not that sad about it. Kids were always a hard thing to think about because I'm not sure if I want them or not but I'm glad I learned I can't."

Rio understanding and patting her back, "Still it's a lot to process but good that you finally know kids aren't something you want. It's a lot of work, sorry again if I suggested that, I won't be involved if you were pregnant thinking it would be mine, I would be helping financially but not involved, not as a father but a cool uncle. Sorry I know I'm being an ass right now."

Natalia smiled, "No it's fine and I didn't want to cause any problems with you and Lilith with something big like a kid. So you've been tracked down by girls who claimed you got them pregnant?"

Rio chuckled, grinning, "Yeah. They always assumed I owned the club and the penthouse, burst their bubble right away to say Lilith was the one that owns the club and penthouse. And get the paternity test and announce my vasectomy. None were mine and they all just want a good life. And money. But hey, kids for now is not the moment, you're not ready for it and life without kids is pretty good. You can do whatever you want, with no worries or responsibilities. But if you feel you are ready for one and unable to get pregnant, there's adoption or foster."
