He broke my heart but she helped fix it

Bella's P.O.V.

I ignored my pain and checked to see if Charlie was home yet. Thankfully he was still at work. I needed a distraction so I started on some house chores. I did dishes, laundry, swept, and mopped the whole house. Anything to keep away thoughts of him. It must've been working because the burning had stopped.

When there was nothing left to clean I decided to start on dinner. I glanced through the fridge and cabinets and decided on spaghetti. I was about halfway through when I started sweating and burning up again. What was wrong with me?

I was pulling garlic bread out of the oven when Charlie walked through the door. I started setting the table. He came into the kitchen and sat down. I put spaghetti and bread onto both of our plates, before sitting down to eat.

"The house looks nice Bell's," Charlie said between mouthful.

"Thanks," I responded, moving my food around with my fork.

"You going out with Edward later," he asked, seeming to be looking for small talk.

"No, he's gone dad," I quickly said,and left the table headed for my room. I didn't miss angry and confused look on my dad's face as I left the room.

I flopped on my bed and smothered my face in the pillow. I quitely cried myself to sleep. I woke up countless times that night screaming from horrible nightmares.

**************** Alice's P.O.V. *************

Why did he make us leave Bella? Just because of a little accident? It was just a little blood. We'd all handled it fine, even Bella.

The family'd had a meeting about leaving. Emmett, Rosalie, Jasper, and I all said no. Carlisle and Esme of course took the golden boy's side.

"We all need to leave. Bella will no doubt fear us now, and even if she doesn't, it isn't save for her," Edward said.

"Edward we can't just leave her, what about Victoria," Emmett replied.

"I read her thoughts. She's no danger to Bella. Victoria is glad James is dead," my idiot brother said.

"I guess if it's what you really want Edward. Everyone pack your things," Carlisle replied, with a frown.

I hope Bella will be okay, but I had a feeling she might not be for long. I decided to ring Kate. She's the best protector I know. I also know Edward isn't Bella's true mate. He's just addicted to her blood and it's confusing him into thinking he's in love with her. I think in his heart he might know and maybe that's why he wants to leave.
