Bella's P.O.V.

It's been a couple of weeks since I met Kate and her family. They're nice people. I've been hanging out with her family often, getting to know them and her more. I still haven't given her an answer, whether I'll accept being soulmates as well as being her girlfriend.

It was nice to talk to someone that's not in high school. We usually meet at the Cullen's house, the Denali's make me feel like I'm one of them even when I'm clearly not. Kate and I have been talking more about being soulmates. They've been very interesting conversations, that's for sure. A Lot of those conversations tend to happen at night in my room.

Kate's P.O.V.

I entered Bella's room silently through the window again.

"Kate, tell me more soulmates, please. What is a soul mate?'' my beautiful mate asks.

"It's uh... Well, it's like a best friend but more. It's the one person in the world who knows you better than anyone else. Someone who makes you a better person. Well, they don't make you a better person exactly, you do that yourself. They inspire you to be better," I answered, the best I could. "A soulmate is someone you'll carry with you forever. It's the one person who really knows you and accepts you. The one that believes in you before anyone else or when no one else does. And, no matter what happens you will always love them, nothing can change that.'' I finish, and glance over at Bella lovingly. Surprisingly she's crying.

"Bella, why are you crying?"

"Not even Edward has ever said anything like that," Bella claims, making me sad.

"I'm sorry love, I never meant to make you cry. Have you thought any more about you accept being my soulmate and my girlfriend?'' I ask, scared she'll say no.

''Yes, I've decided to give it a try,'' she says, taking a deep breath.

"Are you tired?''

Bella nods her head, "A little."

"Go to bed, I'll be here if you want me to stay."

"Yes please, maybe it'll keep away the nightmares," she snuggled down under the duvet and closed her eyes. I join my mate and cuddle close to her.

I've noticed that when I'm here she sleeps peacefully.

Bella P.O.V.

I drove over to the rez to see Jake for a bonfire. I was thinking about last night and how well I'd slept when my thoughts were interrupted. Jake was shouting my name over and over as I parked my car in his front yard.

It always surprises me how much faster my new car is compared to that beast of a truck I used to drive. Not that I'd minded because Charlie got it for me. I was actually a little sad when I crashed it not long ago. I'd hit a deer on the way home from Edward's one night. Everyone was freaking out making sure I was okay, but I was more worried about the deer flailing on the side of the road. There was no help for the deer or my truck though so Carlisle had put it out of its misery and I'd had to get a new car. I was perfectly fine though except for a bump on the head.
