He broke my heart but she helped fix it

Chapter 3 Edited

Bella's Pov:

I woke up feeling sweaty, like I'd been burning up all night. I got out of bed and decided to shower before leaving for school.

I decided to go back to being my old self, the way I was before forks. You see, I'd changed quite a few things about myself after coming here. I hadn't even meant to or realized it, it'd just kind of happened. But now, I missed the old me and wanted to get it back.

I dug through my closet and dresser to find some clothes. I pulled a black T-shirt with a band logo on it off a hanger and a pair of skinny jeans from my dresser. I quickly got dressed for school. I grabbed my bag and keys before heading out the door. I plopped myself down in my new car, took a deep breath, and headed to school.

I really wished I could skip and stay in bed all day. I knew everyone was going to flood me with questions I didn't want to answer, but that wasn't an option. If I stayed home Charlie would worry and I'd still get flooded with questions.

The more I thought about it though, I decided I'm glad he's gone. He'd changed me in so many ways, and it was a little exhausting trying to be so careful all the time. Just one little scratch and I was now the cause of everyone's personal torment, and I was already a total cluts.

As I drive to school, I try to think about all the things I can do without him here. All the ways I can be my own person again.

*************** Kate's P.O.V ***************

I was quietly stalking a mountain lion. My sisters just behind me when my phone started to ring. It was Alice, I wonder what my dear cousin wanted.

"Hey Kate, I was wondering if you could do me a big favor," Alice asked.

"Sure Alice. What's up?" I asked, genuinely curious.

"We had to leave Forks because Edward decided to breakup with Bella. Now, I'm worried something bad might happen to her. Sooooo, I was wondering if you'd keep an eye on her. You know, just to make sure she's safe," Alice begged.

"I mean, I guess so. I know how important she is to all of you. I'll have to talk to my family to see if they're okay with it, but I'm sure it'll be fine" I said, glancing over at Tanya and Irina.

I ran home with my sisters, and they sent me questioning looks. I told them we needed to have a family meeting.

When we reached home, I called the rest of the family to the living room. Where I told them about my call from Alice. They weren't thrilled about packing up and heading off to Forks, but eventually agreed too do it as a favor to Alice.

Nine hours later, we arrived in Forks. My phone started to buzz. It was a text from Alice.

Alice <3: You can stay at our house, enjoy. :)

I told my family about the text and we made our way towards the Cullen's house.
