"So, where are we going to sleep?" She asked."On the bed." I said.
I mean, wasn't it obvious. Where else does she wanna sleep? On the floor?
"Are we going to share the bed?" So, that was her concern.
"Yeah." I replied.
As soon as we reached the bedroom, Ruth asked me for more pillows. And then she made a boundary on the bed to divide it into two equal halves.
"Is this really necessary?" I questioned.
"Yeah. I don't know what we'll do in our sleep so..." She said.
"What? Excuse me? But I won't do anything. And if you do anything..." I said covering my body with my hands.
"It's not like that. I meant to say that we aren't fully conscious in our sleep and might not recall what we might do like kick or slap that other person. So to be on the safer side this arrangement is good." And yes. It did make sense.

It was six in the morning when my eyes opened in response to the sunlight which entered our room through the window. The moment I opened my eyes I saw her face, and she felt like a rose among the thorns. Her right hand and right leg were on the pillow boundary she made yesterday night.
I got up from the bed without making any noise and got ready for my morning walk.
When I came back home from my walk, mom told me to come for breakfast with Ruth after I get I ready for work. So, I hurried towards my room. I knocked on the door to hear a 'come in' in a really low voice.
When I opened the door I saw her standing in front of the dressing table drying her wet hair. She wore a red organza saree which sort of showed her waist. I was just looking at her. It felt like a sin to look away from her. My legs weren't in my control as I couldn't move them.
"Morning." She said with a smile while looking at me and my heart skipped a beat. No! Multiple beats.
"Good morning." I replied. I started to head towards the bathroom to take a shower when I turned around to inform Ruth about the breakfast.

I came out of the shower thinking I am alone in the room. But to my surprise, Ruth was sitting on the bed scrolling through her phone. She was waiting for me.
"You're ready?"
"Yeah. Let's go."
We descended down the stairs only to see that everybody was already present for the breakfast.
"You three should go to work together for today. And from tomorrow onwards Sameer won't join you both. Okay?" Dad asked which was more like an order. We just nodded our heads.
