Today is the D-Day!!! As thrilled I am thinking about it I am also really stressed and afraid. It's not my first event but I think it is one of the most important events ever since I started my own company. Through my college friends I got my hands on some of the best designers of France and if this event goes well I might get great offers.
Currently, I am at the place which I rented out for the event. Some of my staff also accompanied me here and Kavya said that she will join me later. Kabir being the workaholic he is had some work but he said that he'll complete it early. As for the elders, they will come directly to the show as they would only tire themselves here. Sameer was instructed by Maa to make sure that I have my lunch, so he might come the same time as that of Kavya.
It's around one now, so I was expecting either of them to come. Almost all the preparation was done. We were done with the curtains and the decoration, the music system was fixed and the dressing tables with all the makeup stuff was set. The show starts at 7 so I could say that we were sorted.
"Hey Bhabhi" He said while approaching me. "Wow! The decoration looks beautiful. Matches with the summer theme actually."
"What did Maa pack in this?" I said while taking the lunch box from him.
"Open it." He said.
I opened the box and saw Aaloo ka paratha with curd and 'Aam ka aachar'. My Favorites!!!!!
"She said that you might not eat much because of the event so she made these for you." He chuckled at the end of the sentence as he saw me being so happy while looking at the parathas.
We sat down on the chairs which were not for the event and I started eating while Sameer was telling me everything that happened at the house today. Just then, Kavya showed up and gave me a tight back hug which was practically just her hand chocking my neck.
"Hey Roo!" She said and turned to look at Sameer. "You're here too." She said.
"I would be anywhere you want me." Sameer said and I had to put my hand on my mouth to muffle my laugh.
"What?" Kavya asked to which Sameer nodded in negative.
"Come sit. Do you wanna have some parathas?" I asked her.
She took a bite while glaring at Sameer but the moment she ate the paratha, her eyes automatically closed.
"Oh my God! Did aunty make these?" She said referring to Maa.
"Yeah! They are delicious, right?" I said.
"I could eat these forever!!" She said stuffing her mouth with the parathas.
"You could eat them forever." Said Sameer.
"How?" Kavya asked.
"Samjhdar ko ishara hi kaafi hai." He said. "Bye Bhabhi! I'll come in evening." He said and gave me a side hug. (I think you are intelligent enough to take the hint.)
