"Fourth... I have something to tell you," my dad said.

"Pa, Mae, what is it? Stop making me worried," I answered.

"Your mother is sick. She wants you to take care of her in the US. I know that this will be hard for you, but she's only asking for you. She misses you so much," my father said.

"Pa... we both know that she left us for another man. She didn't even see me as her child. If she did, she would never have abandoned us."

My stepmom hugged me and said, "Fourth, I believe that everyone deserves a second chance. I know your mother loves you very much because she asked you to take care of her till her last breath, right? I know that what she did still haunts you, but forgiving is the best choice right now. Your mother needs you."

"But Mae..."

My stepmother is the best mother in the world. She loves us equally. I'm glad that my dad found her.

"Yes, Pa, Mae. I'll take care of her."

"Fourth, there's something else I want to talk to you about. It's about you. You have to be careful about yourself. Maybe now is the right time for you to know the truth about your body. You have a womb, which means you can get pregnant," my father said.

I was so shocked. I thought nothing could surprise me anymore, but this!? Oh my God. I can't think straight.

"No, I don't believe you. That's impossible," I said.

Then my dad took out some documents from his office and showed them to me. The proof that I can get pregnant. I was so shocked that I rushed running to my bedroom. My mom followed me upstairs and knocked on my door.

"Fourth na, open the door, please. I want to talk to you," Mom said, her voice filled with sobs.

I opened the door, and I saw her teary eyes.

"Mae..."

She hugged me.

"Fourth na, calm down, please. We didn't want to hide this from you. We were finding the right time to talk to you about this."

"Mae... don't cry, please. It's alright."

I couldn't stand seeing her cry, so I agreed, even if I was against it. But then she said something that shocked me even more.

"You like Gemini, don't you?"

"Huh? Mae, what are you talking about? No, I don't."

"You can't hide it from me, Fourth. I know it. The way you look at him is full of admiration and love. It's okay, son. We're not against it. Let's keep this a secret, shall we?"

I was too shocked to speak. But then I remembered that I had to go to the US. I asked my mom if Gemini and Phuwin could come to our house. She said yes, so I texted them both to come.

"Why do you look sad, Fourth?" Phuwin asked.

"Yes, is there something wrong?" Gemini asked too.

"I'm going to the US next week."

"Huh? What do you mean? Why? That's two days from now!" Phuwin said.

Gemini fell silent.

"I will take care of my mom there in the US."

"When will you come back?"

"I don't know..."

Then Gemini hugged me, and Phuwin as well. They both cried, and I told them that they were crybabies.

After two days, I finally had to go to the US. I hugged Mae and kissed her on the cheek. I also hugged Prim, my little princess. And I hugged Gem and Phuwin too.

"Bye, guys. Take care. I will miss y'all."

"Take care, Fourth na. Don't forget to text us when you get there!" my mom yelled.
