CHAPTER 7

Author's POV.

Three years had passed since Fourth went to the US. He was planning on coming back to Thailand because his mother was now healthy. He asked his mom for permission to return to Thailand because he missed his family and friends, and his mom accepted.

Fourth's POV.

When I was at the airport, someone hugged me from behind. When I turned around, I saw Rose crying. "P'Fourth, are you really going to leave? Can you stay?"

"Yes, Princess. I'm going to leave, but don't worry, I'll visit y'all sometimes, okay?"

"B-but..."

"No buts, Rose. Come here, your P'Fourth is leaving. He'll be late," Mom said, but I could see in her eyes that she wanted to cry. I ran to her and hugged her tight.

"Bye, Mom. I'll miss you."

I wanted to surprise my family in Thailand, which is why I never told them that I was coming back. I wanted to see the shocked expressions on their faces when they saw me. I missed them all so much.

When the plane landed, I quickly got a taxi to drive me home. As I was in the taxi, I couldn't help but feel excited because finally, I could go see them again. But to my terror, when I looked out the window of the car, I saw Gemini and Prim holding hands. I knew it was them. All the excitement I felt faded little by little.

When I reached the gate of our house, I pulled myself together and tried not to think about what I saw in the taxi earlier. I had just come back from the US, and I should be happy. I walked through the gate, and when I opened the door, I shouted.

"Maee, Paaa, I'm hungry. Do we have some food?"

Author's POV.

His mom and dad heard the shout, and they knew it was Fourth because of his voice. They quickly ran towards Fourth's voice, and in their shock, it was really Fourth standing beside the door. His mom and dad hugged Fourth tight, and they cried.

"How come you're here? Why didn't you tell us? Are you hungry? I'm going to cook your favorite food," Fourth's Mae asked.

"I just wanted to surprise you, Maee, and I'm sooo hungry, like I'm gonna die," Fourth held his tummy with a sad but funny expression.

Fourth's mom playfully hit Fourth's head and laughed. "You naughty kid. I'll go to the kitchen to cook food."

Fourth hugged his mom tight and gave her a kiss on the cheek. "Thank you, Mom."

While his mother went into the kitchen, he talked to his dad about academics and so much more. Later on, the food was ready, and when they sat at the table, they all laughed and talked about random things.

"Mae, Pa, I'm going to Phuwin's house tonight. I might sleep over. Can I, Mae? Naaa, na naaa?" Fourth asked.

His mother sighed. "Alright, just eat on time, okay?"

"Thanks, Maee. You're the best mom in the world."

Later on, he went to Phuwin's place and knocked on his door.

"Alaiwa, who's that? What a disturbance," Phuwin said and went to the door to open it.

"What disturbance?" Fourth said and raised his eyebrows.

"Fourth!? Is that you? For real? When did you come home? How are you?" Phuwin said and hugged Fourth.

"Before you ask, maybe let me in first, right?" Fourth said.

They talked and laughed about random things, but then he remembered something. About what he saw in the taxi. He asked Phuwin, "Hey, is Gemini dating Prim?"

Phuwin gasped as he heard Fourth's question.

"Well, there were rumors before that they are dating. It started a year before you went to the US, I guess," Phuwin said.

"Really? Well, they look so compatible together, so..." Fourth said, tears flowing from his eyes.

Phuwin immediately hugged Fourth and comforted him.

After some time, Fourth finally stopped crying, and he asked Phuwin if he wanted to go outside and watch a movie. Phuwin accepted, and they both went. But then they saw Gemini and Prim in the distance. They were both shocked and couldn't move.

Gemini's POV.

I was buying tickets and popcorn so that Prim and I could watch some movies. I looked around to find more snacks, but to my surprise, Fourth and Phuwin caught my eye. I rubbed my eyes just to see if it wasn't a hallucination. When I confirmed that it wasn't, I called out to him, "FOURTH!"

Prim was surprised when she heard me call Fourth. Her eyes widened.

I ran and hugged Fourth, asking when did he came back and how was he doing. In my shocked he just looked at me and say nothing so phuwin answered instead.
