Last night was beyond infuriating and getting woken up at the crack of dawn to meditate with Korra and Tenzin was the total opposite of what i wanted to do that morning. So when it finally hits an appropriate time to head to bed I leapt at the opportunity to get some well needed rest. And GODS would that have been nice.

Knock, knock.

My eyes peeked from underneath my covers praying to all the spirits above that I had imagined the noise.

Knock, knock, knock.

Nope.

Well maybe if i don't answer, the knocker will go away and leave me to sleep.

"Nora I know you're not asleep," whispers a voice through the door that could only belong to the avatar.

"Go away..." I groan, digging my face into the pillow.

My door slides open and Korra gives me her best smile as I respond with a scowl. "Korra, I swear-"

"Just listen alright," she interrupts, "I just wanted to let you know that i'll be going out tonight."

My brows quirk at that. "And by out you mean?"

"I'm going to the pro bending arena!" she smiles brightly.

"Oh come on Korra, you can't be serious-"

"Look, I know how you feel about the sport but you can't give me shit about sneaking out after you little late night wander."

I stay silent, waiting for her to continue.

"And I'm not asking you to come with me. I just wanted to let you know." she finishes, turning to leave.

"Wait," I call out and Korra stops. "Give me five minutes." I ignore the giant grin on her face as i search for clothes.

With the help of Korra's water bending we were able to sneak through one of the windows with from the ocean mostly dry.

I squeeze my hair, wringing all of the water from it and onto the wooden floor.

"Come on slowpoke," Korra calls ahead of me, already making her way down the hallway.

"Hold up," I run after the eager avatar almost running into her as she makes an abrupt stop.

Korra's attention has been captured by the spacious room in front of us. That happens to be the pro bending gym. "Woah," Korra remarks totally in awe. Among the equipment are punching bags, dumbbell weights, nets and earth discs. She grins in excitement and enters the room with no hesitation.
"I don't think we're supposed to be in here," I say cautiously but trail behind her.

"Hey!" Shouts an older man in a singlet with a towel hung around his bulky neck. Korra and I spin on the spot like a deer caught in a car's headlights. "What're you doin' in my gym?"

"Listen sir, we meant no harm-"

"We were just looking for the bathroom," Korra cuts in. "And then we got lost."

The grouchy man scowls, "Ah, the old 'i had to pee' excuse! You know, I'm sick and tired of you kids sneakin' in without payin'! I'm taking you to security!"

"No wait," Korra protests.

But before either one of us can say more to defend ourselves a man in pro bending gear walks towards us. His arms are outstretched and gesture to Korra and I. "There you two are! I've been looking all over for you's!" he proclaims, swinging an arm over each of our shoulders. "It's alright Toza, they're with me."

Toza sends a disbelieving look at us but Korra swings into action. "Yeah we're with him," she smiles, sending me an urging look.

"Uh yeah, we're with him."
