I yawned and made my move. It was a game of chess against Micheal.
I called him Micheal because he'd flip if I didn't.
Annie followed me around most of the time but she was off talking to Joe.
"Where's my umbrella?" A women asked me. She asked this question all the time.
It was the only thing she said. Her name was Betty. She was a tall women. Gentle. Confused. Like most here.
"Ahhhhhh" A man yelled while the nurses took him out. He was yelling on about the Germans. Everyone seemed used to it and ignored him completely.
A girl in the corner shook with fear anytime some one went near her. Only one nurse could handle her. I felt bad in a way. I remember when i used to get terrible shakes because of my anixiety. Everyone stared at her too, which didn't help.
"Millions of people come to see me live. I'm letting them all down when I'm in here" Micheal told me.
He was losing pretty bad.
" Mic- You...YOU died?" I uttered.
"Oh no, that was all a rouse. I'm betting it was my mother in law. No one knows I'm alive. And If they would just LET ME OUT OF HERE, then I could prove it!"
I nodded in disbelief.
"You don't think I'm him, do you?"
"Whatever man" I gave up on the boring game.
"I am him. I am Micheal Jackson "
"I don't think so.."
'I am. My name is Micheal Jackson. I am the Micheal Jackson!"
"I'm pretty sure your not.." I looked at him.
"I am"
"Your not Micheal Jackson"
"Yes I am"
"Hate to break it to you but you aren't"
"Hey, New girl! Your up!" Reece tapped me on the shoulder.
I jumped off my seat and waved goodbye to Micheal "bye Todd"
"MY NAME IS MICHEAL JACKSON" He roared. Reece laughed.
I followed the arrows to the councellors office. Doctor Van. How exciting.
I swung open the door and slumped myself down on a chair.
He stated at me for a minute. He had a yellow file on his desk. My file.
He was a tall man with black/grey hair and a black beard. He was dark and wore a loose white shirt with a name tag.
"You must be Paige. I'm Doctor Van. But you can call me Q"
"Is that your name? Q?"
"No, it's an aberration of my name"
"What your name then,"
"Thats not important"
"It Is if your trying to create trust between us. Which you were trying to do when you told me to call you Q"
He chuckled a little "Quinn, my name is Quinn"
"Quinn Van? That's a horrible name"
"That's a nice thing to say!"
"I'm all about compliments"
"Ok, first things first. I believe we're given the life we can handle. Ok? And what that means i-"
