Kenta left the partially destroyed city in turmoil and rode through the clear skies on the back of the three headed flying beast.
The sky was lit with a slightly orange glow as the sun could be seen risen from the distance, warming the chilly atmosphere from the cold night air. Rays of the sun shone down from the sky, causing Kenta to squint his eyes and Yawn slightly.
"Did you have a good sleep?" A gentle voice sounded from his right, when he turned his head to the sound of the voice, he saw a man with slightly long golden hair blowing in the wind. "... Mm." Kenta nodded his head lazily as he gazed at the scenery below him.
The view of mountains, a river stream that extended as far as the eyes could see along with freshly cut crops field entered his field of vision.
They had been flying for roughly four hours now. He couldn't help but get curious. Just where is it that their going? They had already left the boundary of the kingdom of Barat, "... How far are we going?" Kenta questioned.
"Don't worry, we are almost there. Just a few more hours." Jessica replied, her long brown hair fluttered in the wind as she observed the surroundings with a serene expression on her face.
She was cautious of any wild flying beast attacking them once they were out of the safe areas protected by the kingdom. However, even though she was alert she wasn't worried.
Jessica was subconsciously releasing her own aura in order to scare the beast and keeping them from coming too close. As a summoner her aura is more effective against beast.
As they continue to travel through the sky, Kenta just observed the many different sceneries around him with his eyes filled with curiosity.
This was the first time he had left the kingdom of Barat. Of course, he was hoping to travel to different kingdoms in the future but, he didn't think it would happen this soon.
Seeing Kenta looking around like a child who was seeing the outside world for the first time Leroux couldn't help but smile in amusement.
"I'm guessing this is your first time outside the kingdom of Barat?" He questioned.
"Yes," Kenta replied. "I see... usually leaving the kingdom of one's birthplace is difficult; you have to go through a lot of annoying paperwork. Not to mention you need the permission from the lord of whatever city you leave from, as well of the kingdom you wish to travel." Leroux explained.
"Oh, why do you need their permission?" Kenta asked, turning to face Leroux who was leaning back while staring up at the clear blue sky.
"It's a necessary procedure. In order to see who coming in and out, some people get attack by either monsters or beast and end up dying before they even reach the other kingdoms. That's why leaving is so difficult." Leroux explained.
Hearing this Kenta finally understood why it's so difficult to leave, 'They probably wanted to decrease the chances of death while they are outside.' He thought.
"Yeah, that's why only those with exceptional combat abilities, or high status can come and go freely." He further added.
"I guess that's not the case for lady Jessica or yourself, you two make leaving seem so easy." Kenta said, while observing Leroux facial expression, "Ahaha... well Jess is a special case. She goes anywhere she wants it's not like anyone is dumb enough to provoke that monster over there." Leroux replied, with a chuckle.
Meanwhile, Jessica who heard this had her brow twitching, "I wonder who you're calling a monster? Do you perhaps want me to push you off?" She asked, revealing a smile that wasn't a smile.
