Chapter 19

I was late, I was so late.

I had a meeting with Mr. Blackthrone today and I was late.

I finally reach he's office and he was packing up leaving.

"Mr. Blackthrone I'm so sorry I ju-"

"No Emily no excuses your ten minutes late."

"Sir there was a problem and Erik -"

"Ahh, so you were with him? Was I correct? Were you two each other's loses?"

"Yes sir."

"Emily times up. I'll still try to help you get an internship but you need to get your act together and fast."

"Yes sir."

And with that he says one last thing,

"Class starts in an hour I hope you have your draft done."

My eyes go wide.

"Yes sir, I'll see you in an hour."

As I run back to my dorm I can't help but feel my chances at being an intern at waters publishing agency is ruined for me.

As I finally enter  my dorm I see Erik sitting in the middle of the floor.

He didn't leave, just another thing on me.

I've had to much.
"Erik, leave."
"No."
"Please just go I can't do this anymore."

"I'm not leaving."
"ERIK GET THE HELL OUT OF MY DORM!"

His eyes go wide but he doesn't move.

"Please, just... Get out.."

I whisper.
He shakes his head no and I give up I fall face first on my bed and scream.
I scream and I scream.

It doesn't stop. Everything is so frustrating and confusing and I'm tired of it all.

I feel a hand rubbing my back.

"Erik go away!"

"Wrong."

Then I recognize that voice, it's Cassie's.
My dorm neighbor also my closest friend in here.

"Is he still here?"

"I made him leave but he insisted on siting in the hall by the door."

And finally the tears come.

For no reason at all my emotions are everywhere and I can't even blame my period for this.

"I can't do this anymore." I whisper to her she just sits there with me being the comforting sister I always needed.

"It'll be okay." She whispers and then I hear her get up and tell Erik something but I don't hear it beacause I finally fall asleep.

An hour later Erik is gently shaking me with a bunch of chocolate and telling me we need to go to class.

I nod my head but instead of letting me walk he picks me up bridal style and we go to class.

I see Cassie outside and she mouths,
'You're welcome. '

And I mouth back to her,
'Really?'

And she's with a smirk while I glare at her. She told him to do this, of course she would. I roll my eyes at her and then me and Erik are around the corner almost to class.
