As I enter my dorm I feel free and light, like nothing bad can happen to me now.
I was just watching a documentary about witches and eating jelly beans when there was a knock, which was weird considering Hali has a key and Cassie usually just walks right in.
"Who is it?" I finally yell at whoever this person might be.
"It's... umm, Dave from a few seats down in from you in, uh, Mr. Blackthrones class."
Dave?
There isn't a Dave in that class with me, was there?
As I open the door I see who I assume is Dave with black hair and looks like a high school student.
I just gave him a really confused look then finally he talks but I don't think he's talking to me.
He turns and stares around the corner and speaks,
"Look I'm sorry. Tell mom I snuck out. I honestly don't care this is just too weird. Man up and talk to her yourself." And with that Dave walks away and I'm confused as ever. I go towards the corner I see Erik.
No, wait. I see a blushing Erik.
"Umm, Erik I'm assuming that was your brother and all I want to know is why?"
"Well, I didn't know what that yes was referring to and I really didn't want to get yelled at and see you in tears again so I hid. I'm sorry.
I slide down the wall. Was the guy really that dense? He slides down next to me and in that moment we both turn our heads and look at one another,
"We're both so screwed up."
I whisper but I know he heard me. We were so close to each other.
"Yeah Emily, we really are, what are we going to do about it?"
"Let's go out."
"As what exactly?"
I lean closer and closer till our noses touch, but not our lips."
"I've realized I have to stop living in fear, that I have to woman up. I want to give you a chance Erik. I want to give us a chance."
And with that I lean back and stand up,
"So, Erik, how about tomorrow at the cafe you kissed me in as a pre date date to get to know one another better?"
"No."
He whispers standing up. I was shocked. I thought he wanted this, I thought he wanted this to happen.
"No, Emily I know how you feel about this I don't want to push you and we'll I kinda already have a surprise for you set in motion."
I blush and he blushes, then I slowly nod my head and walk to my dorm and close the door, banging my head on it.
What was that suppose to mean exactly?
