I've debated for hours if I should've gone after him. Should I have?

Did I make a mistake just sitting here?
I guess I'll find out tomorrow.

It took me an hour just to finish ten pages I was lost and had much more to do.
I was about to give in and tell everyone to screw it tomorrow but then the door slams open and revels a pissed off Erik.

"What are you doing? I thought you left."

I honestly didn't think he would come back.

"I thought you'd chase me but then I reliazed this was real life and not a movie. And you're the girl and I'm the boy. So, I went walking for hours trying to clear my head then I figured you'd be writing, thinking I left you, so I had to come back and help."

"Okay well the first ten pages is my view on half of what happened. Maybe the other ten can be your view, then the next twenty we can switch it up."

"Yeah, sure."
Was all he replied, so I give him the papers and let him read it all.

"You're actually a good writer."

Was I bad before?
I don't understand so I just get up and leave.
Before I'm out the door he grabs my arm.

"Sorry, that came out wrong.."

"We all have our opinions, Erik. It's okay if you thought I was bad "

"But you're not."

"It was an opinion, Erik. It's okay."
"Fine."
He sighs in defeat.

"Excuse me, I'll be back in awhile."

I didn't hear his voice because it got muffled and I ran down the hall as fast as I could.

Not once looking back and thinking what I was doing.
