Chapter Eight
*Hyolyn's POV*
I woke up in an unfamiliar room, the past nights activities replayed in my mind slowly. Sitting up, I found Chewy at the end of the bed. Looking around, they had left me in a room of my own, which was generous of them, seen as there is 13 of them living in this dorm and not much space, probably.
Standing shakily, I felt hungry. But, I don't want to wake anyone, because that wouldn't be fair to burden anyone more than I already have.
But I am just so hungry.
Opening the door quietly, I tried to get my surrounding. Looking right, it was a dead end, so obviously I had to go left. Duh. I'm so smart.
"Ssh Chewy," I turned to him, as he fell off the bed, laughing in dog language as his tongue lolled and tail wagged. Can dogs laugh? I always wondered. I know they can cry. But can they laugh?
Tip toeing down the hall with Chewy hot on my heels, I found the living room. 4 of the guys were spread out. I'm guessing they were supposed to be in that room, honestly. They should have let me stay in the living room. You can't switch 1 person for 4.
Looking over, I saw Wonwoo sleeping peacefully, with... I'm not sure what his name is. Minguk? ...One of the guys legs were thrown across his stomach.
I should really learn their names, as a gratitude for letting me stay here. I can't be so closed minded. Debating if I should wake him, I decided against it. I would just sit in the kitchen until one woke up. They have a busy life. They need sleep.
Finding the kitchen, the light was on, and at the fridge stood DK.
"Morning," he turned smiling. "Sleep good?"
"Yes actually, thank you," I smiled, my morning voice still dry.
"You hungry?" He brought a plate of pancakes out of the fridge, smirking when he brought the squirty cream out afterwards.
"I can't say no," I smiled a little. Was this what a normal life felt like? Sitting across from me, he plated some up, and threw two to Chewy. "Good boy," I patted his head. The dogs. Not the humans... "Thank you," I smiled again. This smiling business was getting easier and easier. Even though hell is only temporarily over, and at some point no doubt he will hunt me down for what I did to Bora, I can enjoy this small piece of sanity.
"Welcome," he smiled back. And god, that eye smile.
"You got a little," I pointed to my chin, laughing a little, as he tried to lick it off with his tongue. "Here," I grabbed the towel and wiped it off.
"Thanks," he laughed, but then fell silent. "You have a little," he scooted around the table, sitting next to me. "Here," he said in a low voice, bringing his lips to my cheek, dangerously close to my mouth. "All gone," he chuckled, but then widened his eyes. I was still in shock from THAT and now Wonwoo is stood in the doorway, mouth agape?
Just as my life couldn't get anymore complicated, I decided to turn on the teenage girl drama switch didn't I. Great timing Hyolyn, absolutely bloody dandy, go get yourself a gold star.
Trying to avoid his eye contact, I could see he was pissed, but he shook his head, walking to the fridge.
"Morning hyung," DK bit his lip and scooted back around.
"Morning," he sat next to me, budging me over with his butt. Looking up, I met his eyes, which were tired, but soft. "Sleep well?"
"I did. Thank you, so much," I began. Now I have a debt to pay off before I leave. A debt that I probably owe my life to, because otherwise, if they hadn't knocked on the door, they would have stood there until my body internally combusted.
