Chapter Twenty Seven

*Wonwoo's POV*

It's been a whole month since the meet up with my father. Since then... What he has said has become clearer. His words actually making sense.

Maybe I was wrong.

Maybe he has changed....? It has been years, to be fair. People can change...? Maybe. I don't know.

Hyolyn is at practice, but we are still together. I can't imagine ever being away from her. We haven't had time to really be together, if you know what I mean. With me practicing and her starting to train, we don't really see each other much.

Entering starbucks, I sat at the table, nervously tapping the edge of the table.

A second later, the seat in front of me was pulled back and replaced with a larger form.

"I thought about what you said," I spoke clearly.

"I'm glad you did," he didn't break eye contact.

"If you say you have changed, prove it. How do I know you're going to be a reliable father now? After all these years?" Like duh. I'm not that easy.

"Walk with me," he stood. But.... My coffee... "Can we get this in a to go cup please?" He asked the waitress nicely. That's definitely not like him. He even added a smile.

"So, tell me," he began as we walked down the street. "What is this Hyolyn like?"

A smile crept onto my face. Her name still has the same impact on me, as if we only started dating yesterday. In fact it's been like, 4 months? I don't know... I'm no good with dates.

But neither is she. So she can't really say anything. Hyolyn, if you can read my mind, you can't get mad at me ^.^

"She's just... Hyolyn,"unable to wipe that smile from my face, I checked the time. In an hour her practice for today will be over, and I promised to take her for McDonalds after. She's so easy to please.

"So you won't take up my offer from before?" My smile was wiped off with that.

"No," I shot back. I stand by what I said. He might have changed, but his taste in women have not. Skanks everywhere boy.

"Here," he handed $50 over. "Take her somewhere nice. I can tell you love her," he smiled.

Even if he hasn't changed, the donation is appreciated. Now I won't have to beg Jeonghan for $10 for McDonalds and have change afterward.

*Mr Kim's POV*

Walking away, I had a subtle smirk plastered on my face. Let him have his fifteen minutes of teenage love. Soon he will be seeing things our way.

The right way.

Standing in front of our new place, I continued smiling. This place will be the start of something new.

A large warehouse, built into the side of a cliff face. My efforts combined with Jieun's and Bora's saw to this being built. Tucked away at the back of the forest, no one will find it. Unless they're so unlucky.

"So, patient zero?" Bora looked up from her magazine as she spread herself across the sofa. We have a small living area on the top floor. Well, there will be a lot of work to do. Sometimes we may not be able to get home.

"There's someone you want out of the picture, am I correct?" I asked as she looked puzzled. Her mother had gone to pick Kara up and tend to her 'sick' husband. Who seems to be only deteriorating. Not getting better... at all. Worse every day, by the sounds of it.
