[I know things have been very confusing so far, but it will all clear up soon! I am back to writing this piece and have a few more ideas and tricks to do with this. Please bear with me just a bit longer, loves!]

(FROM CHAPTER SIX)

"Boss."

I know, I just called him boss. Even the word sounds so annoying to me. I work for these guys who kidnapped me now.

"I like the sound of that." he turns back with a grin. "Is there something you need to be calling me that now? Looks like I gained some good points."

"Not really, but that's beside the point. I have questions."

He smiles and nods, expecting. "Alright. Be in my office in an hour. Let Felix escort you." and then he leaves.

I need to ask him about why he kept me alive. How much does he know, and why is he involved with me?

What's been bugging me is Ronan's sudden aggression in wanting to get me. Ever since my mom died, he disappeared like he didn't exist. But now he shows up?

"Had breakfast yet?" Felix appears by the doors in his white and beige comfy clothing. Fresh and glowing.

"Not yet."

....

"So, um, I just- wanted to clarify things between us." Felix stutters in front of me, awkwardly posing. I sat on the chair beside the island counter, eating my tuna sandwich.

"Hm?"

"You...don't resent me anymore?"

Does he mean the kidnapping part? This guy is cute.

"What makes you think so?" should I tease him a little? "You think lying to me, injecting me with anesthesia, and kidnapping me is going to slip out of my mind just like that after a kiss?"

He presses his lips together and rubs the back of his neck with his left hand.

"You think I'm so easy, don't you?"
"No, that's not it! I-I just thought maybe we could work things out and at least be friendly with each other...is all..."

I like this. Felix is good at acting. It makes me want to tease him even more. But I shouldn't cross the line.

"The money is here!!"

I gave Felix a look, and it finally arrived. The hush money that was framed as Kim Namjoon's dirty money to buy me. In truth, that's my money, and Namjoon is a rat from my company. It was given that he was going to die.

When it was time to talk to Chan face to face, I had this upsetting sensation in my guts. Maybe it was the energy drink I drank in a run, or maybe something annoying was about to appear.

"So you're here. Take a seat wherever you like. My lap is also vacant." he turns from his swivel chair, rubbing his chin and lips with the same hand and the other clicking his pen.

"I'll sit here, the furthest from you." I took the single chair nearest to the door.

He lets out a laugh and stands up, adjusting his sleeves. "You're funny, YN. I like that." he sits on the edge of his desk, tucking his hands in his pockets.

Fucking hot. Too bad he's my foe.

"I assume you have much to ask; I can give you the whole day if you'd like. Although you might get too used to my face and grow tired of it."

I can't tell if my smile was because I was irritated by his confidence or because I found his words funny and attractive.

"Well, I have to be honest. Your face is quite hard not to get tired of."

"Oh? Was I just acknowledged by Miss YN Orochi?"

"Ah, did I say it wrong? I meant, hard not to get tired of punching." I smile at him, showing my clenched fist.

He slides his tongue over his lips like he is forcing himself not to smile. His dimples appear by his facial movements.

"Alright." he sighs, returning to his black leather chair. "You can start asking now."

"Mr. Bang, I believe you are already aware of it, but you were wrong to choose to kidnap me that day." I cross my legs and sit back comfortably in my chair.

His expression turns sour, grim, and dark even.

I continued talking, "And it was quite amusing to hear you say that you will benefit from keeping me alive. You sure know how to use your chess pieces, but there is always someone better than you in chess. A good example,"

I stand up and walk over to him, casually grabbing the resting fountain pen from his desk.

"is someone who's been playing the game longer than you have."

All the time I talked and moved before him, his eyes watched me. He followed my hand and inspected his golden fountain pen with engraved laurel leaves.

"What are you trying to say, then?" His voice, which hinted at annoyance, piqued my cheeky attitude. I turned my face towards him as we stood there, him sitting on the edge of his table and I in between his legs. "That you are better than me?"

I chuckled softly and placed down the fountain pen as I leaned closer. "I did not say that. I am but a fawn in this forest of the fittest."

"You didn't come here to talk, aren't you?"

I smile and step back, "If you know, you know. How about aligning our goals so we can achieve their highest quality? I'm sure that's not a bad proposal. We can keep up with the stranger act, and until our goals have been satisfied, we can go our separate ways."

He crosses his arms and looks at me with skeptical eyes. "Why do I feel like you're leading me into a trap?"

"You love them regardless." I giggled and sat back down on the chair, sighing. "All this dilly dally is exhausting you know, how about you just say yes and I'll wholeheartedly cooperate with you."

Suddenly the awful feeling that was in my guts finally spoke. The doors of the office swung open, and a short girl barged in.

"Brother!" the girl yelled and ran to Chan's side. "You told me we were going to France today! Why are we still here?!"

The two of us, who were discussing matters, turned surprised. Well, mostly him.

"Karin? You're not supposed to be here." Chan glances at me, then back at his sister.

"What do you mean? Brother, do you not love me anymore?!" she started crying and wailing like a perfect little spoiled brat.

As she cried, I watched in boredom. She peeks at me from her brother's comforting hug and then screams.

"WHO IS THAT BITCH! Why is she alone with you in your office?!"
"Karin! Where are your manners?" Chan scolded back, shaking her shoulders.

Before I gave a sly smirk to the girl if only I could give words to describe how speechless her face was.

Karin Bang is not Chan's biological sister. She is but a mere display, a doll, an eye candy. His real sister is under my turf, living her best life with my support. Of course, Chan doesn't know that, and that's my advantage.
