(From Day Four)
"For someone who got kidnapped, you're oddly calmer than I thought."
Everything went according to plan. Wolfgang kidnapped me to get information about my cousin, Kang Taehyun. I have to give it to them. They handle things pretty rough.
"And it seems like you're really mad at someone."
Christopher looked at my pitiful state with amusement. A guy like him loves to look down on people.
"What is it? Money? Land? Property? Even if you asked for that, my dad would rather let me rot and die. You're wasting your time and effort." A part of that was true, since my father really has no care of me and I worked all the way up to the top alone.
"Oh, we know that. Your relationship with him is rather sad, honestly. But we're after someone else's property."
His boy Changbin walked behind me to untie the rope around my wrists. "You have to behave now; don't do anything reckless." He whispered.
"So what are you after?" I need to act more scared before they think I'm weird. But for someone like me who has gone through hell, they only look like puppies acting like lions to me.
"Kang Jinyoung, does that name ring a bell? Kang Jinyoung Property?"
When Jinyoung died he left a will, leaving all of his wealth and properties to Kang Taehyun. And a part of that will was me protecting his son. Which I have been doing so until this very day if only these idiots weren't being idiots.
Kang Taehyun is a Serpent Yakuza, part of the 4th generation, the latest one. I'm from the 3rd generation that went through the most hell. This was because it was a generation where drugs and weapons flourished all over the world, and wars were appearing here and there.
Later, after a couple of commercials and breaking a fit, Christopher, Felix, Hyunjin, and Jeongin led me to a room. I already knew what it was for, and I couldn't disagree more when I thought it looked like a five-star hotel room.
Felix was acting perfectly well as an undercover spy of mine. He worked hard to be a part of Wolfgang and earning their trust for the last couple of years.
I eye Hyunjin from the corner of my perspective. If he weren't so loyal to Chris I would have recruited him. He'd be a great asset to my company. Maybe one day, I'll offer him a spot.
The room, I'm sure that it's being watched. I won't be able to act like myself in here, so it's best I keep acting.
Later that day, Minho came in my room. I'm guessing it was time for that evaluation they talked about. All I have to do is go through it.
"This must be quite a special room to have the window built with bars." Looked a lot like prison bars to me.
As Minho and Felix prepared me for what was to come, I couldn't help but stare at Felix. Seeing him focused on work is getting me excited. But I have to control myself.
"Can I ask what you're about to do to me?" I asked with fear in my voice.
"It's a poison test. You'll be injected with a specially made poison and a cure for it at the same time. Then, its up to your boy whether it fights the poison or lets you get infected." Felix explained as he wrapped a rubber string on my upper arm.
When I was training under my Grandfather's rule in the Serpent Yakuza, he made me drink poison every day and let my body make its own defense mechanism. He never made me drink any antidote or cure. This should be a breeze.
(Day Five)
"Good morning, YN. Have a seat." Christopher smiles from across the table, sitting on his throne. The others exchanged glances at me like I was an elephant in the room.
He points me to sit beside Hyunjin, such a charming, handsome man indeed if only he weren't looking at me with despise in his pupils.
"You have to eat your fill, YN. We're going somewhere important today." Chris informed.
I already know what we're doing today. Seems like they already need to use my abilities.
"I see. Is there anything particular you need me to do?"
Before the supposed mission, they had me return to my house to retrieve some of my belongings. I never anticipated finding such an essential document in an old vase my mother left behind.
"What the hell is this?" scribbled writing on the sides and a stamp on the bottom. And in the center was a picture of my mom and my grandfather.
It's best I have this investigated later once I have the time.
Suddenly, a ringing sound gave me a headache, and the crystal shards of my window scattered on the floor of my living area. I rolled down to the kitchen, holding the back of my neck and covered under the wooden table. My chest was pounding, and my head was ringing so badly that my eyes blinked, and I looked at the windows and the door.
'Why now of all times?!'
What can I do? This motherfucker really likes to show up when I least expect him to. I look at the bracelet around my wrist and wonder if there's any way to contact those Wolfgang members.
Fuck, if this doesn't work, then I might just die right here.
'I have to get my bag from the bed.'
With a solid and loud bang, the door breaks open. The handle of it fell off and landed on the floor with a thud.
'No way...' I just got that repaired a week ago!
"Come out now, Orochi." That icy spine-shivering voice.
Beads of sweat start to slide down on my skin. There was no use in hiding, and that really made me fucking pissed.
"Orochi YN."
The smell of cigarettes hit my nose, and I froze up. I could hear him walking closer.
