CHAPTER 56

EMILY'S  POV :-

"Emily," mom said, almost whispering. Tears were falling from her eyes, as she made her way towards me.

"Emily, my Emily, my daughter, you have turned into a beautiful young lady. My small princess has become so much big! I missed you so much, my baby. I missed you so much!" Mom said and then engulfed me in a very tight hug.
I was so shocked that my mind stopped processing what was happening around me. I just stood there like a statue for few minutes. No reaction was coming out from me. I didn't know whether I should be happy to see my mother again or angry because she left me alone for her new family! I didn't know how to react to this situation?

Emi, she left you when you needed her the most. She left you alone with that evil step-mother of yours. In all these years, she didn't even once called and asked for your well-being. She didn't even knew whether you were dead or alive. She never cared for you. So you definitely should be angry on her. Infact you shouldn't even allow her to hug you.

Yes right, she doesn't even deserve to hug me! Who does she think she is? She left me alone all these years for her new family, and now after so many years, she comes back and shows that she cared for me, missed me. What the hell?

I immediately pulled myself away from her and took one step back.
"Why are you here?" I asked her, without giving her any reaction. She didn't reply and just stood there staring at me, with more tears falling from her eyes.

"I asked why have you come here?" I asked her again, after waiting for a few more minutes. Finally she sighed in defeat and looked at me directly into my eyes,
"I am here to see my baby girl, my princess, my Emi," she said, cupping both my cheeks with her hands. I immediately pushed her hands away from my face. What a drama! Just great!

"Cut the crap and come directly to the point. I know you don't care for me or miss me. If you had really cared for me, you would have never left me alone with that evil step-mom of mine. So please stop your melodrama and tell me the real reason why you are here," I said, my voice rising a bit high. I was just not able to control myself. I just wanted to take out the pain and anger which had been inside me for so many years.

My mother again came forwards to comfort me, but before she could reach me I took a one step backwards. The tears started flowing from my eyes, making it difficult for me to breath. Suddenly a hand was placed on my shoulder, and the owner of the hand squeezed the hand on my shoulder to comfort me. I looked behind only to find Zach staring at me with love and care filled in his eyes. I immediately turned around and hugged him tightly. I began crying in his chest. He hugged me back tightly and started moving his hand up and down my back, comforting me. He kept on saying soothing words in my ear. He kept on saying in my ear that everything is going to be alright, that he will be always there for me no matter what, that he will love me till the end of his life. At that moment, I felt like I am the luckiest girl in this entire world, to get a caring and loving person like Zach in my life!

"Angel, look at me," Zach told me after few minutes. I looked up at his face with tears continuously flowing from my eyes. He cupped my face in his hands and started wiping my wet cheeks with his thumbs,
"Angel, I know that you have suffered a lot in your life. But now it's time for you to be happy. I can't see you in pain, my love. It's the time you should know the complete truth," Zach said, looking directly into my eyes.

Truth? What truth is he talking about?

"What truth?" I asked him.

Zach looked at me for few minutes and then sighed heavily,
"Angel, I have brought your mother here," he told me.

What? Zach brought her here? How does he know her? Where did he find her? And most important, why did he bring her here?

There were thousands of questions going through my mind, but I decided to just keep quite. But as if Zach was able to read my mind, he immediately said,
"I know angel that there are many questions arising in your mind, and I am going to answer them all baby. And for that I will tell you everything from the beginning. When you told me that Nikki was selling you to some bastard, my blood immediately started boiling from anger. She threw you out from your own house. I made it sure to teach her a good lesson. And for that, I decided to take over her company and destroy her. I asked my private investigator to investigate everything about her and her company. I even asked him to keep an eye on her, and keep me updated about her whereabouts. When we were in Paris, my investigator informed me that he had found something strange. He told me that Nikki visits an abandoned place, atleast once in a week. And noone knows about her going there. Noone has ever seen her going there, because she fully covers her face before going there. I asked my investigator to find everything about that place and also to find the reason for Nikki's visiting there, atleast once in a week. And what we found was shocking. We found your mother there. She was tied to a chair with a rope. Her mouth and eyes were wrapped with a black cloth. There were two men keeping an eye on her. As soon as my investigator told me this, I ordered him to go there with police. At that time, I didn't knew that it was your mother, but still I had to protect the person from that bitch. As soon as the men saw police, they started firing on them. Anyhow, the police  controlled the situation and was able to take your mother out of that evil's trap. As soon as Nikki heard this news, she ran away from the city. We asked your mother about who she was and we found out that she was ex-Mrs. Evans."
