CHAPTER 6

EMILY'S  POV :

*TUESDAY*

"Bye Lily, see you tomorrow!" I told Lily. Lily is my college friend.

"Bye Emi, and best of luck for your new job" she replied.

"Thank you. I really need it." I said walking towards my car. I was excited, but nervous at the same time. It was first day of my new job. I don't know, what work will I be doing there? I even don't know, who is my boss? Whatever, I am going to find it within one hour.

I reached my car. I got into the driver seat and drove to the Paxwell CORP. I took my car in the parking lot of the building and parked it there. I went to the elevator. Since I don't know where I have to go, I decided to ask to the receptionist.

"Hello, Where is Mr. Zach Paxwell's office?" I asked the receptionist.

"Are you Miss Emily?" She asked.

"Umm, yeah!"

"Hi, I am Delilah. I work here as the receptionist. I was informed that you will come. Go to the top floor!" She replied softly.

"Thank you" I greeted her.

"My pleasure!" She replied.

I again went to the elevator and pressed 13th floor button,which was the top floor.

The doors opened and I saw that there were three desks but, only one girl was sitting at one of the desks.

"Hey!Are you Miss Emily?" She stood  and came to me.

"Yes, I am the new personal assistant of Mr. Zach Paxwell." I replied.

"Hi, I am Julia. I am the PA of William Paxwell." She said extending her hand. I shook it with a smile on my face.

"William and Zach are cousins. As you can see, here are three desks. One beside me is for you and the other across from our desks is of Noah. Only three rooms are there on this floor. One is Mr. Zach's office,which is straight from your desk. The second is William's office, which is just next to Mr. Zach's. And the third is the mini kitchen. And now about your work. Mr. Zach and Noah are busy in a meeting. They will come within one hour. As William has gone to LA for some business purpose, I will share your work till he comes back." She continued saying and I just nodded.

I sat on my desk and put my bag on the floor. Julia sat on the left side of me, on her desk. Noah's desk was in the opposite direction.

Julia explained me about what I will  be doing. Then we just chit-chatted. Then suddenly the elevator stopped. The doors opened. My eyes widened when I realised who it was. I stood from my chair and walked towards the person. Now the person was face to face with me. He had a devilish smirk on his face. He was the same arrogant jerk, who bumped into me in the mall. But what the hell is he doing here?

"What are you doing here?" I shouted angrily at him.

"Calm down, Miss Emily. I will explain you everything." He still had that smirk on his face. If he doesn't stop that, then I am going to bang his head.

"Miss Emily, nice to meet you. It will be a fun working with you!" He continued.

Has he gone mad? What is he telling?

"Working with me? What do you mean? I am not working for you. I am working for Mr. Zach Paxwell." I snapped at him.

He begin to laugh loudly. I am sure he is totally mad! He was holding his stomach with laughing. Then after few minutes, he stopped laughing. The devilish smirk returned on his face.

"Have you ever seen Mr. Zach Paxwell?" He asked.

"No. But why do you ask?" I replied angrily.

"Well then, it will be my pleasure to introduce me to you. The person standing in front of you is none other than hot Mr. Zach Paxwell." He said bowing down a little in front of me.

My eyes widened again. What the hell? He is Mr. Zach Paxwell. No, no. It can't be true. You are dreaming Emi. I pinched myself to come out of the dream,but no it was reality. I am going to work with this idiot! How stupid I am! I agreed for the job,without even meeting the person I am going to work for! Great, you stupid Emily. I couldn't even speak a word. My mouth dried from the shock. My mind was blank. My mind stopped working at the moment. I just kept staring at him with wide eyes!
