CHAPTER 3

EMILY'S POV

"Coming." There was a knock at my door. I and Lyssa were sitting in my bedroom just chit-chatting. It was 8 in the evening now. I opened the door and there stood in front of me a very familiar figure. And I knew who she is.

Kate!!

She was in UK, since last month. She had gone there to visit her elder brother.

"Hey Kate! When did you return from UK?" I shouted and hugged her tightly.

"Just this morning." She replied softly.

"Kate! My darling! You know my life was so incomplete without you. But now I think all my wishes came true!" Lyssa shouted coming out of the bedroom. She has always been so dramatic. I must say she is a 'drama queen'. She hugged Kate.

"When did you return from UK? How was your trip? Did you meet some hot guy? And if yes, who is he? What's his name? Did you miss us? How was UK?" Lyssa asked.

"Wait! Wait!Wait! Lyssa. Take a breath. So many questions at one time. I will reply one by one." Kate said smiling at me.

"Yeah, my trip was awesome. I returned just this morning. I missed you both a lot! UK was beautiful! And rest of the things we will discuss on the way. So just get ready!" Kate said excitedly.

"On the way? Why? Where are we going?" I asked.

"My sweet Emi, we are going to club tonight!" Kate replied.

"Yeah! Wow! Emi, I am going to use  your guestroom. Guys, just give me fifteen minutes." Lyssa said walking into my guestroom.

"What are you waiting for, Emi? Just go, we are leaving in twenty minutes. And please don't tell me, that you don't want to go!" Kate told me.

I sighed in defeat and went into my bedroom. I wore a dark blue jeans and a baby pink top on it. I have been a tomboy since childhood. I never liked to wear dresses. Dresses make me uncomfortable. I just hate them and so I never owned even one. I tied my hair into a ponytail. I finished my makeup by putting some powder and lipstick. I never use anything else except these two.

 

After getting ready, I headed to the living room where Kate was waiting.

"Are you ready?" Kate asked smiling.

"Yeah, I am ready! But where is our drama queen Miss Lyssa?" I asked laughing

"I am here, darling! And I will take that as a complement. Thank you." Lyssa said coming into living room.

"Ok then, let's go!" Kate shouted at the top of her voice.

The drive to the club was short. I was sitting in the bar waiting for my drink. Alyssa and Kate had already disappeared in the huge crowd. I suppose they were on the dancing floor.

"Here is your drink, Mam!" The bartender said placing my drink in front of me.

"Thank you." I replied taking my drink.

I finished my drink in a single shot. After a few minutes, my phone started ringing. I looked at the screen and noticed that it was from Levi. The music in the club was very loud. So I decided to go out of the club and talk. I picked up the call and Levi informed me that, on Monday, I have my shift one hour early due to some important guest coming in the restaurant. I said my goodbye and ended the call. As I was about to go into the club again, I noticed a boy trying to kiss a girl. The girl was constantly pushing him away and requesting him to leave her alone. But he didn't seem to pay any attention to her requests and just continued to assault her.

I went to the boy and strongly held his arm and forcefully turned him to my side. I slapped him forcefully on the cheek with my other hand. His face was pushed to one side by the force. He took up his hand and placed it where I slapped him.

"What the hell?" He shouted angrily.

"What are you doing with this girl?" I asked frowning at him.

"It's none of your business." He replied.

"Ofcourse, it is my business to protect a girl from a devil like you. Leave now or else I will call security. Just go now." I shouted at him at the top of my voice.

He seemed to taken back by my words. He scowled at me but left immediately.

"Thank you,thank you so much." The girl told me with tears in her eyes.

"Hey. Its fine. Just take care of yourself. Are you okay?" I replied.

"What happened to you?" Her friend shouted coming out of the club.

"Are you okay? Why are you crying?" She asked in worry.

"I will tell you everything on the way. I just need to go home now." She requested her.

"Okay,okay. I will drive you home." Her friend replied and with that they left.
