When morning comes, Jay had already left your condo, as you would expect based on his previous routine before when you're still living in his house, and because it's Friday you need to get ready for work.

You notify Estelle's nanny that you will drop her off first at her nursery school and her Nanny will be the one to pick her up later in the afternoon.

"Kiss mommy," you said as you pressed your hand against your daughter natural pinkish cheeks.

"I love you." You say when Estelle kisses and hugs you before running into her room.

You're on your way to work when you suddenly recall your conversation with Jay the night before.

You're unfamiliar with everything he's done recently because it was the first time he behaved in that manner.

Because of traffic you arrive at your workplace at 9:30AM Your coworker approaches you while panting as soon as you arrived.

She stated that your team leader requested the papers that were sent to you a day before, but because you didn't have time to finish it yesterday, you didn't notice that you didn't even review the papers once, so you had no choice but to do it quickly but because there were so many, you didn't finish it until the end of your working hours, as a result, you need to do it overtime.

When night fell, Estelle nanny called you to ask if your on your way home because she knew your working hours ended at 6:00PM but you said you'd be late for tonight and asked her not to wait because Estelle needs to sleep early.

You finally finished the papers at 12:00AM and you're now ready to go home.

You double-check everything before leaving the office making sure that everything is fix.

When you're driving to your condo, you're thankful because there's no traffic at that time, so you easily arrive at your condo at 12:45AM.

You were on your way to the elevator when you noticed someone enter, reason why you quickly ran and used your hand to prevent it from closing.

When you got inside, you noticed a tall man leaning on the elevator, you estimate him to be 6ft tall.

You also believe he didn't notice your sudden appearance earlier when you were about to block the door's closing because he was wearing ear pods and had his eyes closed.

Your floor was on the 12th floor, but the guy didn't leave until you got there which surprised you because you knew everyone else who lived in the same unit as you except for him, so maybe he's a new tenant.

When it stops at the 12th floor, you discover that what you think is irrelevant because he left first. As you prepare to out, you see an ID that has been dropped inside, you believe that guy is the owner of the ID. You take it up and flip it over to reveal his face.

Even though he was wearing a mask earlier, you are still certain that the he's is the owner of the ID. When you look at it you doubt that he is three years younger than you.

You read the ID holder's name.

"Riki A. Nishimura, third year college of medicine."

You're about to return it, but you didn't see which room unit he entered so you decide to give it to the reception desk tomorrow so that they can return it to the student since they have access to every unit owner's name.

When you arrived at your unit, you tapped your key card before entering, but you were taken aback when you saw Jay sitting on the sofa. You had no idea he was here because Estelle nanny didn't tell you.

"It's late at night, why are you still here?" you asked as you placed your bag on the side table.

"Where's Estelle's nanny?"

"She left when I arrived," Jay stated.

You still act normal, even though his gaze towards you makes you nervous.

"Do you usually come home late at this time."

"Not really, I just finished something at work that's why I'm late." You said to him.

"Then don't work," he said casually, rising from his seat.

"What?" Your quick response, because like yesterday, you didn't understand why he was acting so strangely.

"I'll give you money, so don't work," He stated, but you just laughed and didn't take him seriously.

"We already separated Jay and the procedure of annulment demands a lot of money, I don't have a choice, I need to work." you told him as you took your phone from your bag to check the time.

"Did I agree?" He said reason why your attention drew to him.

Your facial expression became quiet. Because Jay had no idea he was bringing up a topic that would have such an impact on you.

You decided to ask an annulment because you know this marriage will not work because he is in love with someone else. And now that you've given him his freedom, he'll act in this way.

"But, Jay, we've already discussed this and if you're concerned about Estelle, we can do co-parenting." You say, trying to remain calm because you fear this conversation will turn into a fight, which you don't want because Estelle is sleeping.

You walk to your room to check for Estelle for a moment without knowing that Jay also following you from behind, you close the room door before you face him.

"Yes, I remember we talked, but I don't remember agreeing to the annulment," he told you.

You look at him, confused.

"So, what are we going to do?" you asked.

"Would you chose me over Aliana?"

Jay fell silent the moment you mentioned her name which you already expected because Aliana has always been the first priority, so what's the point of asking if you already know the answer.

"See, you can't even an-" you hadn't even finished your sentence when Jay pressed his lips against yours.

It's difficult for you to comprehend what happened, all you know is that your eyes are still open while his are closed.

You can feel his hands encircling your waist as he intensifies the kiss, which lasts for a minute before he leaves you panting for air.

He is staring at you.

"If I say yes, would you give me a chance?"
