"I wonder if this is how you felt every time you saw me with Aliana, because every time I saw you with him, it fucking hurts so bad."

Your heart softens the moment you hear Jay cry. When you turned to face him, you see him lowering his head and resting his hand on his eyes.

"I'm sorry for everything, but please don't leave me, I beg you," he said.

As he said it, you got emotional, as if you suddenly realized what had happened. You wiped the tears from his eyes.

"Shh."

You feel like your heart is being torn apart seeing him crying right in front of you. You gave him a bear embrace and whispered.

"Don't cry. I won't leave you. I'm sorry."

You feel his tears on you shoulder when he lean his forehead.

"I said I was fine, but that doesn't mean it didn't hurt me," he said.

You can feel his hug tightening.

"I have never loved anyone as much as I love you, please don't leave me, no matter how complicated our relationship is." he said.

Three days after your argument with Jay, you managed to convince him that all of your gestures to Riki had no other significance because he is the one man you love. And because you don't want that to happen again, you made the decision to avoid Riki in order to prevent it from leading to another fight.

You know how jealousy can hurt a person's feelings, and you don't want it to happen to Jay because you're hurt whenever you see him hurting.

Even if he hurt you first  you're willing to forget it because you see Jay doing everything he can to correct all of his past mistakes and as his wife, you'd rather forget it, even if it leaves you with scars from the past, because holding on to it won't help you.

"Are you sure you're going to resign?" your coworker asked as you began to gather your belongings for your last day at the office.

You have a sad expression on your face as you look at her.

"Yes," you replied.

You and Jay have had a hectic schedule these past few weeks, because you haven't found a new Nanny for Estelle so you both decided that you will resign from your job so that you can focus on Estelle while Jay is working.

You stopped what you were doing when you noticed her sad expression.

"Don't worry, we can hang out when you're off or you can come to my condo in the morning because Jay is at work."

Her eyes widened unexpectedly.

"Wait, you mean you're getting back together?" she asked, her hands on his mouth.

"Yes, and we're getting married for the second time," you smiled.

Her expression was shocked because you don't tell her the most recent developments in your life so all she knows is that the two of you are still separated.

"How long?"

"We've been living together for 6 months," you say.

"So, what happened with the annulment? I know you spent money on it."

"Yes, but I don't think about it anymore because money can't buy the happiness I feel right now," you smiled.

She appears pleased for you because she witnessed your struggles, particularly the first time you went to work your simple crying while facing the computer, and your obviously forced smiles.
